What? WHAT? Which neighboring countries are you talking about? So . . . Wakanda is not allowed to help its neighboring countries and the African diaspora without the "blessed" approval of the Western and other "more technically advanced" nations?:wtf:

Not without those other powers getting curious and feeling threatened, no.

Fucking Marvel. Keeping it conservative until the bitter end. The only way my opinion of this franchise will approve is for someone finally state in the open that the Sokovia Accords is a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Wouldn't be the first time a Government was willing to allow such things, IMO.

Good to finally have Doctor Strange 2 confirmed at last. Odd that Chiwetel Ejiofor isn't confirmed yet considering he was set-up to be the next villain. Hopefully his confirmation will come shortly.

Killmonger's whole plan was to ship out weapons to the 'african diaspora' and encourage acts of terrorism. Since this is known to the worldwide community, If T'Challa was to provide technology to his neighbours, most of whom were shown to be politically unstable, it would not go down well with the international community.

The world has just found out that Wakanda is the most advanced nation on Earth, that is going to get a lot of other nations jittery and inevitably would lead to conflict.

Maybe he's not so much a villain for the nest movie but an antagonist to be dealt with later. The nice thing about a shared universe is that later doesn't have to be in the hero's own movies necessarily.

True, but does Mordo have any comic book history with any of the other characters in the MCU? As it stands now, it doesn't make sense for him to be in any story but Doctor Strange's.

That's true, but there's been some divergence from the comics, they don't have to limit it to past opponents, but your probably right.

I'll admit, I don't know all of the business details, but I would think keeping themselves connected to the money making machine that is the MCU would be a good idea.
They seem to be doing pretty well with Venom and Into the Spider-Verse, but not MCU good.

Isn't the whole thing with Apply buying Sony throwing a wrench into things? If Apple buys Sony, Disney will get the movie rights back.

I know the pedantic knowitalls that like to show up and say that will never happen will show up but I'd love to see a Brett Mahoney movie or series, all primarily from his point of view, but then he has to deal with all of the different powered characters of the MCU that cross his path. If DA Tower was involved, too, that would be great, kind of like an MCU Law and Order.

That's kind of a cool idea, except that MCU's Tower is a jerk. I'd rather see Foggy represent the legal side of things.

A similar idea has been done by Brian Michael Bendis's Powers comic and TV show, about a police division that deals with superpower crimes and cleaning up after superheroes' messes. TrekBBS's own Keith R.A. DeCandido has done something similar with his Super City Police Department novels and stories.

And in a way, that's basically what Agents of SHIELD was in its first season -- a show about how ordinary, non-super people navigated the increasing superpowered craziness of the MCU. The sitcom Powerless tried to do a comedy version of the same thing (but forgot the part where comedy is funny). And in the comics, there's Marvel's Damage Control, which is about the team that cleans up the destruction caused by superhero/villain battles.

I would love to watch that show, but I agree with Christopher, it should be Foggy instead of Tower.

Several years ago, there was news that Damage Control would be made in similar vein but apparently it didn't work out, unfortunately.

That's the biggest tragedy of Netflix's mass canceling. I was really looking forward to Daughters of the Dragon and I haven't even read any of those comics.

Is there any confirmation that Netflix is done with those characters? I haven't heard anything since the original announcements which were worded in a way that implied that while the shows were cancelled, we hadn't seen the last of the characters.

From what I've read, the reason Netflix dropped the shows is because they don't bring in enough new subscribers to offset the cost of giving free advertising to the rival Disney+ streaming service and its Marvel shows. So if that's the reason, they're unlikely to do anything more with any Marvel characters.

I agree Tower is a bit of a jerk, which makes him a very good DA IMO. I like it, sometimes, when everyone isn't really a great person to be around but not bad either, I think Tower is well done by the writing and actor.

But I'd really love it if Foggy was the defense attorney, kind of like Perry Mason to Tower's Hamilton Burger. I would like Misty to be a private investigator rather than stay with the police, but I'd like her to have her own show, but Misty and Colleen could be Foggy's investigators like Paul Drake or Tyler Hudson.
