A threat from outer space inching its way towards Earth would probably feel too similar to Thanos, who even has a gigantic ship and herald-esque minions.

If they do do a second long-term build-up to a major threat, I'd guess it's going to be mystical in nature, just to maximize difference.

No idea what they will do specifically, but if I were going to maximize differences I'd go for something like the Skrull invasion. Don't go bigger, go smaller, more intimate and more complex.

The most you could really do to set up Galactus is just have rumors of something attacking planets slowly working their way towards Earth. It wouldn't really work as the focus of entire movies the way the set up for Thanos has been, but you could still do it.

Introduce and set up Galactus in GotG or Nova or Eternals and other star-flung properties while having him and his herald move increasingly closer to Earth.

OK, so just for fun who would you pick to play/voice Galactus, The Silver Surfer, and Doctor Doom?

I sure hope it's that long! I love a good, long film.

I never do. I don't buy anything at the cinema (other than the tickets, of course). :p

The crowd that I usually go to movies with always want to stop at the bar and tip back a few before the movie. They never understand why I'm not thrilled to do so.

    They already did, sort of.
We get drinks, but that's only because they do $1.50 refills for a year after you buy the theater's souvenir cup. We usually buy candy somewhere else and smuggle it into the theater, there's no way we're going to pay the outrageous prices they charge at the concessions.

Why not do that AFTER the movie?

The joy of being toasted? I did that with a group of friends before The Conjuring and the pre-show drinks made that rubbish tolerable (and the MST3King).

It sounds like the MCU might be slightly retconning Loki's actions in Avengers. According to CBR this interesting new piece of information was included in a new bio on the Marvel Studios website.

    Marsden is very sad.
That's interesting, but is it a rectcon? He was a kind of misunderstood villain in the first Thor, was a full blown villain in Avengers, and then back to being a semi villain/ally with his own agenda in Thor 2, by Thor 3 he was just another member of the gang although a bit questionable. I couldn't see the guy from Avengers that stabbed his brother giving up the Tesseract to save his life in Infinity War without some major changes. It could be character development but the "he killed 80 people in 3 days" seems like it was more than that.

The theory back then was that falling through warp space (or whatever that space -thing he fell into at the end of Thor 1 was) messed up his head and by Dark World he'd "recovered" under Asgardian care. This fits just as much.
