But why would Marvel Studios pay to use 2nd string characters, when they won't make add much to how much Captain America 3 makes? It is better to make a little less, than have to pay any other studio anything.

While having Wolverine there might have been "fun" in the first Cap movie, realistically it would have taken attention away from Captain America himself. That would have been the last thing Marvel Studios would have wanted.![]()
