According to Rich at Bleeding Cool's sources (so yeah, grain of salt, but this is a speculation thread innit?) The Defenders will play a part in the Infinity War movies.

I could see it. Just as the most recent incarnation of the Mighty Avengers began during the Infinity event when the Avengers were off-Earth fighting Thanos, I could see Matt and Luke's Defenders (and Spider-Man!) stepping it up in the MCU under these very similar circumstances.

Also! 75% chance of Agent Carter renewal! Yay!

Seems like they'd fit better in Cap 3 than Infinity War - the former just seems more 'street level' than the latter.

75% chance!! Yes, last week I saw a 60% number so this is increasingly good news!!

Also, The Defenders news = awesome also!

Just finished Daredevil and I'm stoked!

Especially for Luke Cage & Iron Fist. I hope they crossover into each other's shows.

Iron Fist is gonna be super mystic and awesome. Madam Gao is obviously gonna factor in.

We gotta get Nick Fury in there too somehow.

speaking of heavy spoilers I wont spoil anything for anyone but I would say I am personally, very disappointed with the way they handled the clint/Natasha dynamic:confused:

Just now starting to read the Jessica Jones 'Alias' books and I'm really enjoying it. Can definitely see this character & set-up meshing seamlessly with the Daredevil series.
I'm assuming that as with Daredevil they'll be telling a new original story, especially since so far the comic doesn't appear to have an overarching plot, let alone anything like an antagonist. There is however one issue with J.J. Jamerson that I really hope they use at some point. If for no other reason than it being a fantastic re-introduction to the character, an excuse to get J.K. Simmons back before the Spider-Man movie and a sneaky way to establish that Parker is already out there in continuity. ;)

OMG, not only do I have Netflix, but Daredevil has been out for a week and I haven't seen one episode. I'm definitely binge watching it after work.

I knew I was busy, but not that busy.

Well, not only has their past not been revealed, they have room for more stories to tell in the future. They could have the same history as they had in the comics (more or less).

Working titles are often times not even remotely close to the actual title of a film. Usually they are intentionally vague and non-connected cause the studio is attempting to keep hush/hush on a project.

That being said, we know a GotG2 is coming and a working title of anything other than GotG2 is at least cause to pause. So, why Guardians 3000 and NOT GotG2 or some uber hush/hush working title?

With all the cosmic elements that will be in play by the time of the sequel and Infinity War on the horizon it's fun to speculate that the TIME GEM could be in play. Thus bringing in the GotG 31st century counterparts a.k.a. Original GotG team into play. Feige has already altered Yondu to be in the present, maybe he goes into the future IF the Vance Astro led team shows up? Seeing Starhawk, Charlie-27, Nikki & Martinex on the big screen as part of a cosmic struggle would be awesome!!

So does anyone think that Theta Protocol that Coulson is working with in AoS is connected to
Avengers training centre shown at the end? They do need lots of bunk beds over there..

^That would be awesome.

So, I saw the Daredevil series, which was perfect in my opinion. I also caught that picture of the Hulk and the battle of New York in the background. How long will it be until we see Agents of Shield or a Marvel movie mention him? The continuity is intriguing.

Well...
I rather suspect it was getting the hellicarrier up and running as a refugee evacuation platform. I mean that "some old friends helped me get her out of mothballs" line seemed fairly implicit to me. ;)
Or it could be both. It's not like they're mutually exclusive possibilities.

I think the title "Guardians 3000" might be a reference to the Guardians of the Galaxy series set in the far future. Maybe a time travel movie?

I thought it was one of those things where they always like to stick a number on the end of it to make it sound better, like the new and improved Robovac 3000 or Krab o Matic 3000.

Just in case some aren't aware, the original GotG were created in '69 and were a futuristic team based in the 31st century.

One of the things this film did was alter Yondu to be in the present instead of the future.
