Clint wasnt even Hawkeye any longer at the end of the series, so, again, if Marvel Studios wanted to make a second season of Hawkeye, they would've made it.

Obviously they did since they what sounded like fairly in depth discussions about it with Jeremy Renner.

They could still do it if they wanted to. It doesn't really matter how many years have passed since the first season came out. There are British shows like *The Night Manager* and *Happy Valley* that released follow-up seasons seven or eight years after the first or second season. We can't say for sure that the same thing wouldn't be possible in Hollywood—or rather, with Marvel's TV projects.

The Sopranos had a couple of gaps of two years between seasons and I'm pretty sure there have been other cable shows that have gone multiple years between seasons.
