I wonder if they'll team up in one of the episodes or a separate series/movie?
I don't know, but the whole concept of characters from different alternate realities coming together to form a team sounds an awful lot like The Exiles.
That's what I was thinking. The Exiles is basically Sliders with super-heroes.
Tom Hiddleston provided some insights in a new interview with Empire Magazine. One particularly intriguing insight:
"I want to preserve the freshness of the show for when it emerges, but something to think about is the [show's] logo, which seems to refresh and restore," Hiddleston explained. "The font of how Loki is spelled out seems to keep changing shape. Loki is the quintessential shapeshifter. His mercurial nature is that you don't know whether, across the MCU, he's a hero or a villain or an anti-hero. You don't know whether you can trust him. He literally and physically changes shape into an Asgardian guard, or into Captain America repeatedly. Thor talks about how he could change into a snake."
Hiddleston added, "I think that shapeshifting logo might give you an idea that Loki, the show, is about identity, and about integrating the disparate fragments of the many selves that he can be, and perhaps the many selves that we are. I thought it was very exciting because I've always found Loki a very complex construct. Who is this character who can wear so many masks, and changes shape, and seems to change his external feeling on a sixpence?"
Leaked Marvel What If...? concept art.
Gamora in Thanos' armour, King Loki, Ultron(?) with the infinity stones, The Collector looking thicc (this is apparently not a what if image but just a personal art piece by the artist), and Tony in colourful, hulk buster looking armour. Comments seem to think this is a story where Tony ends up on Sakaar at the end of Avengers 1
The Loki bit is hinted at in the trailer very briefly.
Olivia Colman rumored to be in talks to appear in Secret Invasion.
Oh, man, that would be amazing!
Nate Moore, Marvel Studios' VP of Production and Development has said that both The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki could both be multi-season series, while WandaVision is going to be just the one season.
The linked article also says that WandaVision will be submitted to the Emmy's as a limited series, while TFaTW is being submitted as a drama series. This was mainly just done to keep them from competing against each other in the same category.
Emilia Clarke has joined the cast of Secret Invasion...
Nothing surprising there. I fully expect The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki to get multiple seasons although I thought Loki was already confirmed to have a second season. I guess that was just an insider rumor and not confirmed by Marvel yet.
Cool that WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Solider have beensubmitted for Emmys but I'm not holding my breath for either of them to get even nominated.
Gods damn, this show is getting stacked! Give it to me now!
Shouldn’t a second season be called Captain America and the Winter Soldier?
They should just go with The Adventures of Sam and Bucky. That rolls so much better off the tongue anyways.
The Captain and the Wolf
I really liked her in what I saw of Game of Thrones, I think I stopped after Season 3 or 5, and Solo, so I look forward to seeing her in this.
So it’s not really clear what this means for the Spider-verse going forward but Disney and Sony have agreed a new licensing deal which will bring Spider-man to Disney plus. I’d like to think this bodes well for integration of the Spider-verse into the MCU, though maybe the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing (or should I have used an 8-legged metaphor?). https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/disney-sony-marvel-spiderman-movie-deal-1234957207/
Another MODOK trailer:
So Netflix gets the Spider-man movies first kinda like if they were going to HBO/STARZ and then some time after that Disney+ gets access to them as well?
This means the only MCU feature that won't be on Disney plus will be the Incredible Hulk. I wonder if they will be making any effort to acquire that? Given that they're picking up characters and elements from that movie for the She Hulk show, it might be something that they would consider.
