I don't know, when I think of pop culture evil queen, Emilia Clarke is now pretty much the gold standard for a generation.
Which is probably why so many people think it'll be her...and I'm guessng she'll want to play against type, at least for awhile.

Although Olivia Colman is also known for playing queens, so who knows?

Just the saw the news about Cap 4 a little while ago, and I'm very happy. I love that they gave writing duties to the showrunner from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
It will be interesting to see where the next season of the shows fits in there, if they do one.

I've tried my best to avoid WandaVision spoilers until I can afford the indulgence of Disney+ (probably in June), but I spoiled myself on the ending of TF&tWS to see if they finally did what I wanted them to do all along, and yay, they did. And I'm really glad they're committing to it by following through with a movie.

Spellman was THE right choice to handle a Sam Wilson Captain America, so its great he's developing the film version. I hope his writing room talents will be in place for that as well.

Same here.

Copying over my thoughts from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier thread:

Wow, I have to say I didn't expect that development for two main reasons:

1) There are already a ton of films in the upcoming docket to cover several years.

2) The type of storytelling that best suits Sam and Bucky is television so I'm not sure would quite work as a feature film now. As pointed out by others for the last couple of weeks, the show could've been better of with a couple of more episodes. Certainly not truncated into a feature film.

So with that in mind, I'm very curious to see what kind of story Feige and company think warrants a feature film.

In hindsight, I have to wonder how the series would have gone if they'd used William Burnside as the new Cap instead of John Walker.

Huh??? You've seen loki already??
No, but the trailers are enough to make it clear it's going to be a very different kind of show from WandaVision, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which was already a very kind of show from WandaVision.

WandaVision was a mashup of a old fashioned sitcoms and sci-fi/fantasy.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was a more grounded action series that got into some pretty complex themes.
And from what we've seen in the trailers Loki looks like it's going to be a big, time travel adventure, with a bit more of an snarky tone to it.
