So sexual harassment and assault doesn't count as "true oppression" in Hollywood?

DON'T try to relate being pinched on the bum with what my people have been through

Black people were burned alive in the streets within the last century. We have suffered 400 years of fate far worse than anything someone like Natalie Portman has ever been through

I am female I am black I am gay

That's the heirachy of opression. Frankly if you are an attractive straight white girl I seriously question if you've experienced any opression whatsoever as they seem to get more favour than anything.

Maybe you should try to calm down until we know what the movie is going to about, and how big of a role the three character will actually play in it. Hell for all we know at this point Jane Foster could be in the movie for 5 minutes, with the rest of the probably 2 hours +, focused solely on Valkyrie and Thor.

I do wonder if the poor showing of Men In Black had something to do with going with the very popular Jane Foster as Thor comic rather than something more original focusing on Thor and Valkyrie.
Considering the Portman deal was done 6 months ago, long before MIB came out, I'm going to say no.

I rather doubt Foster is in it for 5 minutes. That would be pretty shitty bait and switch.

I’m sure Foster/Mighty Thor will be a major part of it.

blah blah blah
What exactly are you losing your mind about? The fact that Tessa Thompson is likely to get more screen time in this one than she did in Ragnarok?

Or are you upset about the fact that they didn't make up a story about Valkyrie becoming Thor instead of Jane? Because if so, that's full-on crazy.

(And this far out, for all we know Valkyrie will end up being transformed too.)

I fully expect a triple lead.

Wow, this thread has gone completely off the rails.

Here's an idea: Why don't we wait until we have a plot description or a trailer before we jump the gun about who may or may not be slighted in roles.

For all we know, based on popular fan speculation, Jane is the Queen that Valkyrie is seeking for, as hinted by Tessa Thompson. Would that not indicate equal billing for both of them?

Okay, where do Jewish people fall on your hierarchy of oppression? Because Natalie Portman's great-grandparents died at Auschwitz "within the last century".

I'm pretty sure her life hasn't been negatively effected by that, in fact she was born into a privellaged lifestyle. Don't you worry about Israel allies of the 1% and butchers of the middle east.

Been binging Castle.

Looked up his mother, and she might as well have been Betty Ross-Banner in the Bill Bixby series, since she was a love interest who died, in the pilot.

Molly C Quinn... having Drinks with Howard the Duck in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?

HOLYSHITSHE'SBEVERLY!!!!!

Considering the amazing losses from the last Howard movie, that dog don't hunt.

These responses seem a little inconsistent, @Infern0 - the history of oppression of black people applies to you, but the history of oppression of Jews doesn't apply to Natalie Portman. Tad unfair standard there. I'm also not sure Natalie Portman gets a vote in Israeli foreign policy, any more than you do in your country's.

The next phase of the MCU simply will not make any sense according to Medium.

'People will only care if the universe you're saving is the main mcu universe'? That's just as bs as all the Star Trek stuff that insists it MUST be Earth at risk and not some other planet.

Also, why wonder what Blade and Shang-Chi bring to an eventual Avengers party when we already got *Hawkeye* and *Black Widow* as founding Avengers fighting aliens, superbots and borderline gods.

I strongly suggest that everyone pull back on this sidebar

I just posted some info from Kevin Smith about those animated Marvel shows on Hulu in that thread (he said they haven't really started working on his Howard the Duck show yet, but it's currently planned to be the last of the 4, with MODOK coming first), and here's some more animated Marvel news on top of that:

https://toonado.com/cartoons/marvel...the-popular-marvel-zombies-comic-series-a2857

Definitely take that with a big old grain of salt, as it confirms or proves nothing, but it's certainly a good spot by an eagle-eyed fan, and I do think we heard some producer or bigwig mention that Marvel Zombies were at least on their radar 5 years ago or something like that.

If all we got out of Marvel Zombies was a single animated episode of What If, that's cool. A full series might be a bit too much. Maybe. Though just thinking about it right this second, if they wanted to put out a new Marvel Zombies episode every Halloween, that wouldn't be the worst idea ever.

Who says she's straight? The movie's called Thor: Love and Thunder, Jane will be Thor, and the plot is about Valkyrie looking for love. Do the arithmetic.

You are reaching. For all anyone knows, Valkyrie is there to help Foster deal with the radical transformation into another Thor / aid her in facing whoever the inevitable Big Bad will be.
