If the "leaked script synopsis" for Avengers has much truth to it, the whole thing sounds awful.

I think it's worth noting given how flexible Marvel has historically been when it comes to reshoots and rebuilding a movie in editing that the leak could've been a true reflection of the movie at some point, and yet also be strikingly different than what we see in action.

Certainly, some scenes we've seen (like the stuff involving the Wakandans) isn't here at all.

What leaked synopsis?

Hm.....Not sure what to make of all that....
Considering the comics, the end result makes sense with where we're going, but it also a..... fanfic kinda vibe to it. We'll see.

First I have read any of that…

someone commented that their wife was confused by the trailer. Can not imagine reaction to that plot if it is real…

Seems like the worst use of the multiverse to me. As much money as this stuff makes and concepts like the multiverse have entered main stream popular culture - I wonder how much the average viewer really enjoy this type of storytelling? Or just going along with the trend because it’s taken over everything? Sounds like a fricking mess to me and I have grownup on these concepts my whole life. I am starting to miss the days when comic book adaptations deliberately left out the crazy ideas to appeal to mass audiences.

There's also been Secret Wars leaks, which aren't quite as detailed....

The story will begin a year after Doomday, with all the characters we know having settled into amnesiac lives on Battleworld, at a medieval level of technology.

Somehow, the Young Avengers remember the old world. They end up recruiting the three Spider-Men, Namor, Vision, She-Hulk, Deadpool, Wolverine, Reed Richards, Sentry, and Jean Grey (the Sadie Sink incarnation).

They find Loki in an Asgardian casino, working with Sylvie, Moebius, Ouroboros, and a number of other TVA hangers on. All of them have no memory of their past lives, and Loki initially refuses to work with them.

Doom's army will include a number of Thor variants, Dr. Strange, and a witch coven of some sort. Steve is being kept prisoner with his full memories in Doom's castle, so he can keep rubbing it in that he killed his son and destroyed everything he loved.

Every one of the main cast has some sideplot stuff to do. She-Hulk collects the Hulk variants. Deadpool manages to restore Thor's memories, etc.

Supposedly, a Tony Stark variant will show up near the end of the movie. Loki intervenes again near the end of the third act, and everything is more or less put back to normal - except the real Tony is back in Earth 616. The TVA put Steve into a universe with Peggy and his son where they existed before, but died, preventing another incursion.

Goodness. Did they get ChatGPT to come up with that story?

The part I don't trust is "everything is put back in the way it's supposed to be." I can believe they want the Fox X-Men to go off into the sunset in their own universe, but making the Fantastic 4 go back home again seems odd. They were introduced to be a one-and-done, with nothing more to do with the MCU now? Such poor planning.

My guess is that's a rough-draft synopsis of the potential story. How it ultimately looks will depend on the finalized events of Doomsday - I'm sure any number of changes/tweaking will be done on the story, right up until the final edit.

Nah, no one was edited out. Sometimes (often!) people don't stand in symmetrical stances, even in movies. Doesn't look like an unnatural gap to me.
Marvel cheque in the mail and on the way.

According to Deadline TikTok has automatically flagged the official 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' trailer with a "Contains AI-generated content" label.
