I can understand why Marvel would want to make their own take on Blade that stands apart from the original trilogy, but I still think this may have been a little short-sighted of them:

David Goyer on Marvel Turning Down His ‘Blade’ Reboot Offer, Why ‘The Sandman’ Is Ending and Those Neil Gaiman Allegations: He ‘Wasn’t as Involved in Season 2’
David Goyer will help make the new "Blade" movie -- Disney and Marvel just have to let him.variety.com
The guy who co-wrote Man of Steel/Batman v Superman, wrote/directed Blade Trinity and once said that she-Hulk was created to give Hulk someone to fuck (fun fact, this comment was so terrible Stan Lee himself specifically responded to it saying that anyone who thought that was a nut) is not someone Disney/Marvel should hire to clean their toilets, much less make a movie.
I think the movie will be good, but I already really dislike this version of The Thing. His voice is lame, the CG looks a bit off, his costume looks the worst on him (although they all look mediocre) and whining about not wanting to say his iconic line is just stupid. I bet he doesn't have an Aunt Petunia or blue eyes, either. Totally missing everything that people like about the character, while taking the angsty angle that honestly hasn't been more then a background element of Thing for decades and making it his main characteristic (just like Fant4stic, but presumably without the parental physical abuse). Also, does anyone else think that the actor playing Johnny looks like Mark Zuckerberg?
Still Silver Surfer looks/sounds cool, I'm excited for a real Galactus in general and Reed/Sue seem fine, so the movie could easily end up being the best FF movie, even though I don't think it will be anywhere near as good of a FF movie as they could have made.
