Marvel does love their adjective. Now they're mining the negative ones.Victor Von Doom is the Infamous Iron Man.

Exactly!Would Doom's ego allow him to use another man's name?
He is Doom. And that is more than enough for any man.Exactly!
Doom is Doom. He wouldn't take another person's name.
a lot of this makes me grumpy too. especially no Fantastic Four. i really thought they would have brought the book back by now.I'm done with Marvel. Too much, too different.
HYDRA Cap.
Fantastic Four being cancelled.
Terrorist (adult) Cyclops and Kid Hitler (teen) Cyclops.
Bendis' terrible Uncanny and All New X-Men runs.
Avengers vs X-Men
Inhumans thriving while the mutants continue toward extinction.
Cho-Hulk, Jane Thor, Captain Falcon, Riri Iron Man, Doom Iron Man
All New, All Different.
Never ending hero vs hero events.
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch retconned to no longer be mutants or Magneto's children.
Tony Stark retconned to no longer being the son of Howard and Maria Stark. Rumor is Mary Jane Watson could be his sister, and Bucky and Natasha (Black Widow) are his parents.
Nick Fury retconned to be a murderer and assassin. He killed Uatu the Watcher for knowledge to preempt threats and stole his eyes.
The "House of Ideas" seems empty nowadays.
That is crazy. Hope none of that crap makes it into the MCU.I'm done with Marvel. Too much, too different.

Hardee Har.Yeah, that 1987 series was weird, but it was mostly because Roger Stern left the project before it ended and they completely changed writers.
You don't think a black Iron Man can work? Or you just don't like the idea of replacing Iron Man with a different person or maybe a younger Iron Man?
Hey, man. New 52, Marvel NOW 1.0, All New All Different, had some winners and some losers. Marvel burning bridges with ANAD, relaunching and rebranding again, in under a year doesn't confer confidence. I haven't enjoyed any of the ANAD titles.Yeah, the only X-Men are Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Marvel Girl. What's with this Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird, and Wolverine crap?
Yeah, Contest of Champions was stupid and Secret Wars was underwhelming. On the other hand, the X-Men vs. X-Factor fight in Inferno was actually pretty cool. Of course, there's the more generic ones that have been happening since the beginning which have been hit or miss, but some are cool. Who wasn't excited for the first Thing vs. Hulk fight?
Yeah, everything is just so different with this Marvel. It's nothing like the great company I used to love.
What about The Thanos Imperative and War of Kings? Here is a list of all the events Marvel has published since 2004.
Avengers Dissassembled: Scarlet Witch attacks the Avengers and the Avengers
House of M: Hero vs Hero in an altered reality
Annihilation: Nova, Starlord, Gamora, Drax, Silver Surfer, Ronan and Super Skrull vs Annihulus.
Civil War: Hero vs Hero. Capt America dies, while Tony and Reed look like the biggest A-holes. But Marvel said Tony and Reed were right all along.
World War Hulk: Hulk vs X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers and anyone else he comes across.
Annihilation Conquest: Starlord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, and Quasar vs the Phalanx and Ultron. The success of both Annihilation stories led to the 2008 revival of the GOTG.
Messiah Complex: The first mutant born since House of M, and Bishop sets out to kill her.
Secret Invasion: Hero vs Hero vs Skrull
Messiah War: Cyclops trusts Hope to Cable and the X-Force to protect her from Bishop.
Seige: Norman Osborn attacks Asgard
Fear Itself: An Asgardian God manipulates the heroes of Earth, instilling fear and doubt and that leads to more hero vs hero.
Schism: Wolverine vs Cyclops. Fractures the X-Men. Logan makes his own school, and Scott makes his own school.
Shadowland: Daredevil with the Hand Clan fights Spider-Man and the Defenders
Avengers vs X-Men: Nuff said. Cyclops kills Prof X, is thrown in jail and the X-Men all look like bullies.
Infinity: The Avengers vs Thanos.
Original Sin: Nick Fury murders The Watcher Uatu, and sets the Avengers on a wild goose chase for his killer. This leads to more hero vs hero, until the misunderstandings are resolved and the mystery is solved. Also, Thor is left unworthy, for some reason.
AXIS: Another topsy turvy world, where the some heroes are made bad and some villains are made good, and they fight.
Hickman's Avengers vs the Illuminati members of the New Avengers and to an extent Secret Wars (2015): The Illumanti is destroying parallel Earths during the "incursion" era, and Captain America's led Avengers vow to stop them from continuing their actions. Think of the incursions like COIE multiverse, but instead of the Anti-Monitor destroying Earths, it's the New Avengers.
Civil War II: Another Civil War, and yet another hero vs hero event
Divided in Marvel NOW 2.0: The new status quo for Marvel after Civil War II ends.
Ya know, they just killed Rhodey. And rather than give the role of Iron Man to his niece Lila Rhodes, a character pre-established, who is also a tech savy genius (like Riri Williams), and who enhanced her uncle's armor. Brian Michael Bendis gives the role of Iron Man to a character of his own creation. Riri only debuted in May of this year.
I haven't enjoyed any of the ANAD titles.
I was referring to the recent rash of hero vs hero events. Not the run of the mill hero vs hero on solo titles.
What in particular do you like about Lila besides that she's been established longer? I think the use of an original character worked well for both Kamala Khan and Miles Morales. There are other differences between this situation and that situation but none of those differences are relevant to how well-established the character is.
That's a shame. Karnak has been an interesting ride so far. Ultimates is a head trip, but isn't everyone's cup of tea. I've heard great things about Vision, although I haven't read it. Ms. Marvel has been a consistent joy just like the book was during Marvel NOW. I actually think Uncanny Inhumans is a lot of fun (I like Soule as a writer, although I think his Daredevil is only just beginning to find its legs). I also appreciate Ta-Nehisi Coates's Black Panther. Which books have you read so far that you didn't enjoy?
I forgot those. X(What about The Thanos Imperative and War of Kings?
I think of Lila as Marvel's Natash Irons (Steel's niece from the Superman books). With Rhodey's death, and Tony being supplanted by Doctor Doom, it would be nice to have someone connected to the previous Iron Man legacy (of Tony and Rhodey) to carry the torch until they comeback. Instead, we get a pet character of Bendis' own creation. Who can do everything Lila can. What in particular do you like about Lila besides that she's been established longer? I listed Secret Wars. I put Hickman's Avengers, New Avengers and Secret Wars all as one thing, due to the incursions and multiverse aspect.Contest of Champions, Secret Wars, and Inferno are all events too.
