Well, tonight we learn that the Sox can win and the Yanks can lose. The Sox barely squeezed by, but some studly work by V-Mart and Pap sealed the deal and improved the Sox from "crap" to "almost crap."

Though when Delcarmen gave up those two runs, I started swearing so loud I think I frightened the neighbors.

Let's hope this is the turn-around needed. I'm interested in seeing how Tazawa does tomorrow. Here's hoping that he's not another flash in the pan. *cough* Dice-K *cough*

The Tigers played the Red Sox pretty tough tonight, but came out losers. I'm hoping they can turn that around tomorrow. But it's tough winning at Fenway, no matter what kind of streak the Red Sox were on.

I dont think it is fair to compare Dice K to Tazawa just because they are both Japanese. Tazawa is being brought up the system doing the MLB style of training and throwing. Hopefully that works out, because he showed some balls the other night in the New Toilet.

^ I'm admittedly a bit bitter over Dice-K and the similar fatigue issue that Okajima has had in seasons past. I do, however, think that the Japanese training system has a lot to do with this as it doesn't seem to build up enough stamina for a demanding and longer MLB season. Given what you said about Tazawa's training, my hopes for him are elevated.

And some good news about Wake's recovery. That guy's a trooper and will definitely be an asset whenever he comes back.

I dont think it is fair to compare Dice K to Tazawa just because they are both Japanese. Tazawa is being brought up the system doing the MLB style of training and throwing. Hopefully that works out, because he showed some balls the other night in the New Toilet.

But, I'll let it slide, I'll enjoy your delicious bitterness because I can understand you not liking our beautiful stadium after you spent the weekend here getting shut out for 30 straight innings.

The LA first baseman bobbles the ball, AND is pulled off of the base...and the idiot first base ump calls the runner out! Bruce Bochy got ejected for arguing the call. I am livid! THIS is why MLB needs on-field replay access for the umps, and the ump's calls should be able to be overthrown. Gah!

I don't think there should be instant replay access for every play, as that would take the human element out of the game--plus make things too damn long.

Dude, it's all in good fun. Two of my best friends are Yankee fans, and die hards at that. I was calling it the New Toilet when the Sox were up 5 games. Not a big deal.

The Stadium is big, and beautiful, and I hope to go up to see a game one day, but I'll take Fenway any day of the week thank you.

I'm all for tradition, but I see nothing wrong with implementing technology to make the game more accurate. We're in an age where the viewer at home has a better view of a play than the guy standing right there on the field. What's wrong with making the game more accurate after plays like that?
