Spoilers Lucifer - Season 2

I'm glad to see her get another job so quickly, I liked her on Rush Hour.

Yeah, I was thinking it was one of those too. They definitely did to much of something.

It looks photoshopped. Tom Ellis looks like he isn't really there. I wonder if all three actors had the pictures taken separately and were photoshopped together.

Comic-Con highlight reel. Half season one, half season two. No Tricia Helfer.

Very interesting stuff there. I can't help but wonder why Lucifer is panicking when the woman takes her shirt off. We also got some interesting hints as to how "Mum" might have gotten out of hell.

Anyone find it funny what song Lucifer decided to sing right after talking bout his mother aka Tricia Helfer?

Oh. I should've caught that. Galactica is the place I know that song from, but I guess I've seen Tricia Helfer in enough other things since BSG that I didn't make the connection. Last season's songs were always about the Devil, so I was wondering if the "Watchtower" thing was an allusion to his failure in preventing a prisoner's escape.

Also: God and Mrs. God created the universe by having sex? That's gonna put the religious protestors in a frenzy. Of course, there are plenty of creation myths around the world that are along those lines, but not in the Bible, and certainly not in the views of the sort of people who've been protesting this show from the start. I think the showrunners are deliberately trying to give them fits at this point.

Interesting that Amenadiel tried to give Chloe a perfectly logical explanation for Lucifer... but she wasn't convinced. I could see right off, she was suspicious that he went to so much trouble to explain this to her now. So it backfired, and she's actually starting to flirt with the possibility that Lucifer is what he claims. And that was an interesting conversation she had with the cute new coroner. I like the coroner's approach to religion, the idea that meaningful faith needs to be based on skepticism and critical interrogation of one's beliefs rather than blind acceptance -- that religious belief is something to contemplate and learn about within oneself, rather than an excuse to turn off your brain or to condemn others for not blindly following your own path.

I'm a bit confused that Lucifer and Amenadiel have their own bodies and "angel blood" and the like, while Mum had to possess a recently dead human body to come to Earth. That's basically how Malcolm was sent back into his own body. So was Mum not just banished to Hell, but actually killed and existing there as a disembodied soul? That's a more extreme punishment than what the dialogue suggested. I hope this is clarified.

^That seems to be the implication, and the best way to go about it. Illyria and the other Old Ones had to be slain and their ashes/essence magically sealed to even have a hope of holding them for eternity.

Also, what was Amenadiel so worried that a lab analysis would find? There's no scientific benchmark for identifying blood as angelic, so the most they could determine is that it has some anomalous properties, or that it isn't human. That may raise some questions, but it's hardly proof of divinity. So what does he expect them to see? Blood cells with tiny little wings and haloes?

Possibly blood cells that are far too perfect in some way, have antigens that aren't remotely human, regenerative elements, inability for solutions in the lab to affect it, etc

Again, though, that would only show that there was something anomalous about it, not that it was specifically angelic or divine. They'd probably consider "contaminated sample," "hoax," "mutant," or even "alien" before it would occur to them to think "fallen angel."

Maybe the blood would come back as having no DNA lineage. Which when you think about it would be impossible.

They're not familiar with the theory of the Big Bang?

What's up with Amenadiel and his inability to sustain a time freeze? It seemed that his first plan was to swipe or change Lucifer's blood sample, but time didn't stay frozen so he decided to prove that Lucifer is just using normal ways to appear supernatural. Is he changing from being on Earth this long?
