We got a first clip and poster from season 5.
Needs more red and orange, but I can see where they were going.

Until this year I had never seen the Star Trek 5 poster with the theater and seat belt. I do like the movie, but what were they thinking there?They needed a movie theater seat. With a seat belt.

I suspect it was either Shatner's or the studio's attempt (or both) at building hype around the release, which is generally what pre-release posters are theoretically supposed to do. I remember seeing it in person myself back in '89 and naturally thinking, "Wow, this might be good". It served its intended purpose to ensure I got into the theater to see it.
I foolishly also read the novelization by J.M. Dillard before I went to go see it, re-enforcing my thought that it might be a really cool picture. This was before I realized the book was made from an early draft of the screenplay, that had some amazing pie-in-the-sky concepts, with new backstory on Vulcan mysticism, Sarek family history (but where's Michael?) and so on. Shatner seemed to get it right for his first cinematic directorial outing. Nearly all of that was cut from the film because of budgetary (and other) reasons. The rest is known history.
Never read a novelization before seeing its corresponding film ever again after that... experience.

Was the lower decks first look the only Star Trek day thing they were doing? I thought maybe we might get a SNW trailer with an update of when it premieres. My TV Time app says it premieres in late July of next year but Paramount hasn't made that official. I know today was the first Sunday of Football season, but it would have been nice to get something other than the Lower Decks first look.
Yeah, especially after there was a special video announcing Star Trek day on Star Trek's official YouTube channel. Not sure why they would hype that up and then do nothing.
Love Mariner's low key Vulcan salute, too bad it's not epic trolling one - guess that could be in the animated poster

Most likely. The truly extravagant Star Trek Days as far as content goes was during 2020 and 2021, when because of the pandemic all conventions had to be done virtually. Now that conventions are in-person events again, they got to save something to justify people making the trip to attend them.
I figured as much it was a cross between the V and VI posters. Since if it was just based solely on V, it could use more red and orange.
