Loved Trek Characters You Just Don't Like

Trek is full of iconic and much-loved characters, but are there any out there that you just don't like? This isn't about the characters lots of people dislike (Wesley, Neelix, etc).

Please don't let this descend into petty name-calling and snarky comments, after all it is people's own tastes--there are no right or wrong answers.

Personally, I have three:
The Doctor - I found him obnoxious and pompous, who only got worse as the series went on.
Seven of Nine - For me she killed Voyager, it should have just been called the Seven of Nine Show.
James T. Kirk - He has always come across to me as sleazy (here at home we'd call him "sleekit") and arrogant.

For me it's Jadzia. She was good at everything, everyone liked her, all the guys were in love with her. That was just annoying for me

Most of the cast of DS9.

Odo, Bashir, Sisko, Kira... none of them did very much for me. Dax was okay.

The best characters on DS9, IMHO, were the recurring ones, like Garak.

TNG: The Crushers, Troi, and Riker.
DS9: Worf and Klingons as a whole, Kira, Jadzia. The only folks I really enjoyed were the Ferengi and Garak.
Voyager: Harry, I didn't mind the rest of the cast, but they disappeared in the shadows of the Doctor, Seven and Janeway.

TOS and Enterprise, I liked both casts without reservation.

Forgot about her. She is grating, snooty and thoroughly unpleasant. Nothing at all like the proper Uhura.

Kira is probably the only Trek character I actively dislike.

I can't really come up with a loved ST character that I truly disliked. Sure, some were a bit annoying from time to time but that's far from truly disliking them.

*I haven't seen all episodes from all series though so it's perfectly possible that will eventually find one from DS9 or V.

The only characters I never liked are Kira and Pulaski. I don't enjoy episodes based around these two characters. Thankfully Pulaski only lasted one season, Kira became merely tolerable by the end of DS9.

Kirk-Along with the character rubbing me the wrong way sometimes, Shatner is a horrible actor IMO.

Another vote for Kirk. Even when I was a kid I thought he was arrogant and sleazy. The older I got, the more I disliked him.

I have to agree the Abrams-verse characters other than Kirk and Spock kinda suck. The original cast may have been mostly one dimensional character actors but they had gravitas. The Abrams-verse secondary cast has none, they all come off as kinda pathetic, except Uhura who comes off as trying too hard to be cool.

For loved TV trek characters I hate. I don't know if Reed is 'loved' but I can't stand him. Every one of his mannerisms grates on me. Does Paris count as loved? He joined as a rebellious badass and turned out an annoying dork.

I agree. The way Nichols played her, all she had to do was look at you and you knew you were in trouble. Uhura has a coolness about her.

Kirk, Riker, Archer. Juvenile, cocky, arrogant jerks who have no business representing our culture out in space.

I do like Kirk more in the movies, he seemed to mature a bit.

Tuvok bothers me as well, a Vuclan who chooses to live and work among humans, and then looks down his nose at everything about humans. Spock and T'Pol never showed that level of closed-mindedness and condescension (though T'Pol got close). He should have been assigned to the T'Kumbra.

TOS: I do love them all but some of the things Kirk does is just like, NO, GOD WHY???
TNG: Wesley & Pulaski and Q most of the time I just found q obnoxious and annoying. Not funny or anything. Finishing the series with a Q episode I thought was ridiculous
DS9: Used to be Garak but I really warmed to him, same with Jake. I thought Jake was just gonna be another Wesley. Quark I hate. Not just because he's ferengi he is just an absolutely horrible person. Literally noone likes him, he is never supportive or even happy or anything. And he gets WAAAAAAAY too many episodes and they are all exactly the same.

You may have a point with Wesley, but based on some responses I have seen on this site, the rest seem to have a following, if a cultish one.
