LOTR: Fellowship of the ring blu-ray error

Anyone get this problem? So I was excited to get the lord of the rings trilogy on blu-ray for $7.99 for each movie.

I went to the first Target and they were out of part one. I go to another and get part one and two for the time being.

I get home and pop in part one. At first I think it's slow to load. I try three times to start and stop it.

I do some quick research online and find out that the first movie is defective!

I have not found anything on this yet, but is anyone else having problems getting The lord of the rings to play on their PS3?

I can play the special features, I can play the trailers and I can get on Blu ray live but It won't actually play the movie, the screen stays black and nothing. It plays everything but the actual Movie. If anyone has had this problem, please post.

I go back to another Target to exchange. Turns out they're out of part one

I drove across the street to Wal-Mart. They had the same $7.99 deal but I decided not to spend another $7.99.

So now i've got to wait till Target has more of part 1 in store.

What the hell? I just brought the blu ray player upstairs to figure out what could be wrong.

I plugged the HDMI cable
Plugged the power cable

Load "Fellowship of the ring" and it works

Turning it on and off again often helps...

Before I just stopped the movie then reloaded it. Weird maybe turning it off was the solution
