Is SeaQuest DSV worth getting on Blu-ray?

I remember enjoying SeaQuest as a kid, but even I knew the massive change from season 1 to 2 was a big WTF. Same thing happened with War of the Worlds. But I think I was more upset with the major cast overhaul than the storytelling changes.

I've seen this thread before, but haven't commented, because I've never seen SeaQuest DSV.

However, I happened to notice this today when looking for something else, so I just thought I'd mention it: if anyone is considering buying it, the Complete Series blu-ray set looks to be 70% off on Amazon US right now, listing for $25.37. Out of curiosity, I checked on camelcamelcamel, and that seems to be its best price ever (from Amazon itself, a Marketplace seller has apparently had it a few dollars cheaper at some point).

If you plan on buying something else besides SeaQuest, Deep Discount has the Blu-ray for $23.38 and their 15% coupon for in-stock items knocks it down to $19.87 (plus tax). However, you need to spend $25 for free shipping. Otherwise shipping is $1.99.

Thanks for posting that. I got it for myself for Christmas. Now I just need something to play it on.

Hum. Maybe you did it wrong. Trying popping in any Michael Bay Blur-ray, any J.J. Trek film Blu-ray, any The Fast and the Furious, and any Saw film. Repeat the process. If it still doesn't work, go out and buy more of those films and keep trying until it works.
