Even if it does somehow end up not being the end of the series, it's probably going to be the last one by Kirsten Beyer.

ST09 was on in the background last night and I remembered how excited I was by the possibilities of stories based on a new Vulcan colony and how that unfolded. Was anything ever done with that in novels?

Since thete haven't been any Kelvin universe novels yet, no. Maybe when they start appearing come April.

We do visit New Vulcan in the glitchy-but-not-as-bad-as-everyone-says 2013 Star Trek videogame. It gets attacked by Gorn.

It's also featured in IDW's comics.

This -- it was in the "Legacy of Spock" storyline from IDW's monthly ongoing Kelvin Timeline-series:

And as King Daniel mentioned above, of one of the cancelled 2010 Abramsverse novels (Greg Cox's or David Mack's, IIRC?) was to deal with the New Vulcan question too, which eventually got shifted to the comics instead. And David's and Alan Dean Foster's Kelvin-books are now finally set for publication shortly, here.

With Star Trek 4 back on for now, I'm half expecting those two Kelvinverse novels to be pulled again:lol:

^ Doubtful, since they're both set very shortly after the events of the 2009 film, which is practically ancient history at this point, in terms of continuity. What happened to IDW's Boldly Go series is probably a closer analogue (taking place after the main events of Beyond, but just prior to the launch of the Kelvinverse Enterprise-A), with CBS and the comic company deciding to shut that series down rather than risk it getting contradicted by Trek XIV.

^Also, as I've pointed out countless times, the cancellation of the books never had anything to do with story continuity. There have been hundreds of Trek novels that were published during ongoing series without regard for the risk of contradiction, and indeed many had already been contradicted before they even came out. The cancellation, to the best of my understanding, was the result of behind-the-scenes issues that were unconnected to the specific content of the books and was more about the overall strategies and goals of the companies involved.

I feel like with the star trek discovery/Picard it like we have 3 universes, The main CBS one from before 09/disco then The 09/disco and now Picard Universes, It easier for me to keep the apart in my head as I prefer CBS before 09 and disco, Its hard as there is a lot of fan unhappy about some of it and other that aren't, all i know is i want more in the main CBS line TOS with out disco stuff "like no Spock's' sister stuff" or crazy drives. I have no issues per say with The 09 line its ok the movies good in its own way. I just think for now they should stay away from any Disco or 09 stuff i know we are coming up on the 09 stuff in the current Novels I think if they let the authors do as they have done in the past work with in in there own way so the story moves forward.

With Peggs recent comments. I doubt star trek 4 is back on. anyway, its nice to have kelvin novels, the kelvinverse should be given a lot of respected and attention in the general star trek universe not treated as some wannabe JJ Abrams star wars plaything.
