Little things in Trek that just bug you...

Type 1 phasers. Shooting stuff with a tiny remote control looks so silly...
Back in the day, people would have more readily identified them with electric razors.

Also, TNG Hand Phasers. Am I supposed to take the Federation seriously when they go around pointing barcode readers at people ?
Dustbusters (especially the Season 1 versions).

That Janeway has a better ready room than Picard.
Or that Captain Georgiou has a better ready room than both of them.
That time Sisko was wearing his comm badge in the wrong area. Mostly in the episode "The Rapture" but I think it happens once in the following episode as well.
That actually was a variation on the uniform design that featured a larger "gray shoulder" area. So, the comm badge was still in the same general area of his chess, it's just the gray shoulder stretched further down. You'll also note the uniform he wore in Rapture and parts of The Darkness and the Light does not have the department colour stripe at the cuffs as is standard with the FC style uniforms.

Seeing that picture reminded me of a minor irritation of my own that throughout TNG, the actors never knew what they were supposed to be aiming their phasers at, so as a result, the visual effects people always had the phaser beam "bending" to hit the proper target.

Speaking of phasers, mass inconsistency as to whether they vaporize you on any kill setting or just leave a charred hole in your flesh.

The entire story direction of Klingons since TOS ended.
Totally. Why they never went with John M Ford's "ten million times better" Klingons I will never know. Missed opportunity or what!! And that is, coincidently, one of the things that annoys me about post TOS ST. We need a reboot to Ford Klingons, and now!!

The turbolift nub should have been like this:

There would have been nothing wrong with one or two mentions/stories about the Klingon perception of honor separated by a few season. It was when it seemed to be the only thing that came out of their mouths that that became a problem.

In Insurrection, none of Picard's senior officers disagreed with him and his course of action, we saw in the series that they would disagree with him on occasion and speak up. Something similar in FC with Crusher's "when the captian speaks we all shut up," It seemed (her facial expression) that Crusher wasn't wild about the idea of blowing up the ship.

The few times the old TNG unifroms would still be used in the later seasons of "DS9" and "Voyager" even though they should have been retired from use once the "First Contact" uniform had become the main uniform.

Kim forgetting about Libby in that episode with KIm Rhoades who plays someone he had feelings for yet the episode where she returns from the dead is the first time we hear about it.

Nurse Ogawa not looking old like everyone else in "Future Imperfect."

Inconsistencies in the Trill "make-up" (never liked the Odan style, always prefered the spots).

Extra's that don't say anything even if a main character says something to them. Stop pinching pennies and pay the gal or dude to at least say "Yes Sir."

Well, that could just have been a SAG card issue. If it was back then how it is now: no SAG card, no talking.

How about: extras who don't turn around or look in curiosity when something sudden and unexpected happens?

How about: nobody ever has to get up to go to the bathroom? No sudden, "I'm about to shit my pants!" in key moments either. Some people can't even make it through Wal-Mart with shitting themselves.

How about: a Galaxy-class vessel that can only find people with sensors (and it's more difficult if they take their badges off) in emergencies, but when you need to hunt Wesley down, suddenly there are hall cams.

Ro can't wear an earring, but Troi got away with wearing all those skin-tight thingamajigs.
Earrings = no.
Cleavage = yes.

High heels on women, especially those in Starfleet or some kind of military service.

In "Disaster" we don't get to see any of those cool gory things Dr Crusher says will happen to her and Geordi when they let they down the force field in the shuttlebay.

Worf's suggestions always being ignored.

No Holodeck ever came close to looking as cool as the TNG one did. You would think that sets of certain things would always keep getting better or at least stay equal to a past set but they ended up getting worse when it comes to the holodeck.

Lol yeah a whole planet, Population 15
Not to mention that it was usually a case of 14 were male and just 1 was female.

Picard's pontificating was always worth listening to.
Oh? I didn't mind when he was quoting Shakespeare, since Stewart's earlier career included a lot of Shakespeare and it's something I enjoy.

But his pontificating about how evolved and enlightened 24th-century humans were - that nobody is interested in acquiring things and money isn't necessary... it's just pompous bullshit. Just once, it would have been nice if somebody had reminded him that Beverly BOUGHT that weird-looking cloth on Farpoint Station. It's not something she needed, and we never saw it again. She said, "Charge it to my account on the Enterprise" which implies that she had a way of paying for it. Somebody should have reminded him that everything may be free to him on a starship and even on Earth, but it's not like that everywhere. Not all humans have Starfleet privileges, and they do have to work and even struggle for what they get.
