List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

VOY: "Tuvix"

Geez, the end of this one really is off-putting, though I also always find it strange that Tuvix's argument is "I'm choosing for them to die so that I can live!" The more obvious and much more persuasive argument seems to be "I am them, and I'm telling you we all choose to stay this way." It's a strange ending.

VOY: "Resolutions"

This was better in my memory somehow. Or maybe I just hated watching an hour of extreme social distancing!

TOS: Platos Stepchildren. For my money, this is worse than “Spock’s Brain”

DS9: ‘Till Death Do Us Apart. Bajoran Dukat is unsettling. But props to Sisko for telling the Prophets to stick it and marry Cassidy anyway.

DS9 Rewatch Continues

Behind the Lines
Favor the Bold

CBSAA seems to look better than Netflix or Amazon in terms of picture quality

Continued my DSC rewatch with New Eden. Interesting exploration of science, faith and the Prime Directive being able to coexist. But what happens when the planet's rings go unstable the next time?

TNG “Liaisons”. I enjoyed the Enterprise scenes with the ambassadors — it’s always fun seeing people annoy Worf (Quark would later become the master of that). The Picard scenes were slow and uninvolving. The ‘transsexual’ aspect of this plot (Voval/Anna) is unacknowledged but brave for the conservative tone of TNG.

Oh, and “Interface”. Like virtually every Geordi episode, i found it pretty dull.

If all goes according to plan, it's an annual event.
Best of STNG summer marathon has begun today, 22nd of June 2020.
Most might find it odd that the marathon begins with 'All Good Things...' but I have my, perhaps weird, reasons.
AGT part 1 today, part 2 coming up next.
Those weird reasons have something to do with the trial of humanity.

It's the middle of winter down here on the southern hemisphere of this small planet but I'm watching TNG too,
last episode I watched was..

Contagion :bolian::bolian::bolian:

ENT North Star

The commentary track by the assistant director guy was very informative. This episode would have worked a lot better if it hadn't been stuck in the Xindi arc.

P.S. I really wish they had followed up on the hostage scene where Malcolm stuns T'Pol in a future episode. Just a random scene of T'Pol walking up to him, saying "Cowboy Planet" and giving him the neck pinch.

This was a very satisfying marathon.

VOY: "Random Thoughts"
It's so weird how Seven is essentially not in the episode, until the last scene, which acts like it's the pay-off for a Seven plotline we did not see.
ENT: "Demons"
ENT: "Terra Prime"
VOY: "Resistance"
WOW incredible jobs with the planet sets on this one, it feels so real and lived-in. Also I'd forgotten Michael Jan Friedman had the story credit on a proper episode.
ENT: "The Forgotten"
TNG: "When The Bough Breaks"
Good lord, that scene where Wesley "secretly" scans his Aldean guardian with the tricorder "slipped" to him by Beverly is cartoonishly overdone!

Short Treks: "Q & A."

I have heard better G&S.

The ending reminded me a great deal of Spock's reaction to the Talosian singing plants.

And for the record, I have never liked the idea of turbolift shafts running in vast open spaces. Internal volume will likely always be at a premium aboard spacecraft.

I'm not a TOS fan, but I just fancied a change, so in the last day or two I've watched:
The Motion Picture Director's Edition - Kirk is a jerk, but he did save the day in the end, I suppose.
TOS: "Tomorrow is Yesterday" (remastered) - Kirk shouldn't have been so hasty at the start - if he'd actually listened to Spock they wouldn't have got into that mess (btw, Roger Perry looks fantastic in a Starfleet uniform as Captain Christopher and has bucket-loads of charisma, so I'm glad Kirk didn't listen to Spock!)
TOS: "The Enterprise Incident" (remastered) - I liked it, but again, mainly for the guest character (Joanne Linville) who outshined the regulars.

TNG “Gambit”... fluffy but fun two-parter and a nice change of pace. I liked Robin Curtis much better as Tallera than as Saavik 2.

“Phantasms”. My God I would NOT want to serve on a ship with Data. A few weeks ago at the flip of a switch he lost his “ethics” program and became an evil psychopath who performed grisly experiments on his best friend. Here he has a waking dream and brutally stabs Troi. Both Geordi and Troi forgave him very quickly whereas most regular people would have had a bad case of PTSD!

I have an autographed Lincoln Enterprises reprint of the shooting script for "Phantasms." Along with a few other Lincoln Enterprises script reprints (I can't recall whether I got any of the others autographed.)

TAS: "Mudd's Passion"

I can't believe how much better this is than either of the TOS Mudd episodes!

DS9: "Whispers"

Holds up every time.
