List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

Finished the first season of ENT.

My favorite episodes
"Fortunate Son"
"Dear Doctor"
"Sleeping Dogs"
"Shuttlepod One"
"Acquisition"

Almost put me to sleep
"Shadows of P'Jem"

rewatched Star Trek: TMP last night

...still easily my favorite of all the theatrical films. The visuals are bar none.

Agreed, I’m addicted to TMP! It’s definitely my favourite and of all the movies, the one that is a real experience.

Just watched TNG “Unification.” Part 1 is so very good, leading to that iconic cliff-hanger, and part 2 is ...just terribly disappointing. It’s no wonder Leonard Nimoy just looked bored with a script this dull. Spock in TNG should have been all kinds of awesome. What the heck went wrong?

Got to the second season of ENT.

"Shockwave, Part II"
"Carbon Creek"
"Minefield"
"Dead Stop"
"A Night In Sickbay"

"Minefield" and "Dead Stop" are okay, but for the other three... let's just say I think it's looking a little rough.

Season two gets pretty rough.

I'm up to the 13th episode of ENT S2. About to watch "Dawn".

But I should mention "Precious Cargo". Not as bad as I was expecting, given the episode's reputation, but as soon as the episode started on a shot of the NX-01 with the sound of Trip playing the harmonica, I thought to myself, "Oh no. What the Hell am I in for?" :alienblush:

Daedalus (ENT). Feels like a 00s movie. Weird creature going around the ship, weird experiments...but since everyone is sort of professional, it doesn't go down south quick (though it burns more fuel in the Trip/T'Pol/Archer mess).

TNG “A Matter of Time”. It’s the kinda story that TOS would have done much better. Having a Mudd-esque rogue on the ship just doesn’t work with this crew, there just isn’t the wit and banter. The crew end up looking enormously gullible and the security incredibly lax. Rasmussen had “not to be trusted” written all over his face, yet he’s given free reign of the flagship and access to pretty much anything he wanted. This is almost “Datalore” levels of stupidity. And interesting that when the plot called for it, everyone would completely ignore Troi’s warnings.

TNG - Time Squared

Highly intriguing to start, but loses steam as it goes. The ending is particularly underwhelming.

TNG, the Pegasus - I don't watch it often but it's still a great episode.

I still wonder though - was it (pragmatically) smart for the Ent-D to decloak once they escaped the asteroid? Sure, it was the moral thing to do, but was it necessary? Would the Romulans have suspected that the Feds had broken the treaty had Picard chosen to escape without a trace (destroying any vital evidence back in the asteroid) and then clean up the inner mess in Starfleet and would worse consequences have ensued than by making it public to the Romulans immediately?

If it was Picard's way of ensuring the Federation would no longer cover this up by forcing their hand to come forward with an explanation immediately, I can't imagine he gained too many friends in high places with this action, even among those who agreed with him in principle.
