List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

TOS “Where No Man Has Gone Before”. Remarkably assured and confident for the second pilot...themes that Trek would explore many times again but nicely done in a captivating and action packed hour. I’m reading Marc Cussman’s These Are the Voyages book as I’m rewatching these, such a wealth of information that really adds to the viewing experience.

VOY: "Warhead"
VOY: "Demon"

I'm watching the Voyager's I never rewatch, and discovering... they all have a lot of Harry material. That's probably not a coincidence.

I watched "The Tholian Web" today. I thought the episode should have been edited a bit to give it a stronger emotional punch. All the drama was derived from the moment Kirk chose to stay behind on the Defiant, and the moment Spock shot at the ship. But these two moments zipped by, without any comment until they were over. These two scenes should have been longer, with close-ups on the people making these decisions, and maybe a speech. And then there can be drama derived from those two moments.

TNG - "The Arsenal of Freedom". It's an episode proving once and for all it's not how cliche a trope might be but how well it is executed (e.g. the old countdown trope where we all know they'll make it in the end, so how they deal with it has to be robust enough to make up for it, and/or putting in curveballs.) Would have loved a season 5 or 6 style episode like this, where they had to separate the saucer due to exciting circumstances.

TOS - The Deadly Years

Interesting premise but I think they really overdid the "Kirk is going senile!" angle with the 400th example of him forgetting an order he's given or repeating himself etc. Plus, the amount of time they spent on the competency hearing was absurd. The affected staff were literally ageing years waiting for it to finish.

TNG - The Host, The Mind's Eye (I see one is great and the other has Dearest Bev being the biggest parasite?)

TOS “The Naked Time”. I still laugh at how Bones rips open Kirk’s shirt in order to give him the vaccination. I love Riley too. Such a fun ep.

TOS “Charlie X”. Season one is classic after classic. A suitably nightmarish look at what would happen if neurotic teens had super powers.

TNG - In Theory. Nice tame comic relief after something as intense as "The Mind's Eye".

TNG "True Q"
TNG "Justice"

Making me wonder... are the Q Shadow and the Edo God voiced by the same actor? Or different voices just processed the same way in post?
