Nice to see that your basic entrenching tool doesn't change in 300 years.

Aka "Speed: Enterprise Edition".
It would have been a lot simpler, and faster, if when Trip attached himself to the tether. That the tether detached from Columbia's shuttlebay. And Reed could then just reel him in like a fish.

Goddamn what a great episode! So exciting. They just ratchet up the tension right from the start and don't let up. It's so good. Also noticed on this viewing the similarities to the ST09 plot. Never realized that before.

The only good thing about this episode was Odo getting into being an umpire.

So the Tholian forcefield could contain Enterprise but not it's escape pods?

Great ending to an excellent two parter.
T'Pol never looked better. Are the Vulcans here the equivalent to the Prime Universe Romulans?
And since Vulcans are supposed to be a lot stronger than Humans. T"Pol should have easily and quickly dispatched both Sato and her henchman.

The back and forth between Nog and O'Brien here are the main action.

Why couldn't they have Colonel Green wearing a red jumpsuit as we first see him on TOS?

Catspaw (TOS Blu-ray). AFAIK this is the only Trek episode with a character surnamed "Jackson" (my real last name). Unfortunately Crewman Jackson gets killed, and he's not even wearing a red shirt!

During the end fight scene. i always hate it that Archer sees the window get shot and then stands in front of it. Knowing that it's about to break and depressurize the room.
Rule #1 of clearing a room. Stun everyone that's not a hostage or friendly.
