Requiem for Methuselah (TOS)

Rereading the Cold Equations book trilogy by David Mack, so this seemed like an appropriate choice.

DS9 "Profit and Lace" on H&I.
This episode could have been saved if it was funnier. And Quark should have held onto what he learned while he was a woman. And Henry Gibson as a Ferengi. Doesn't get any creepier.
ENT "Observer Effect" on H&I.
Someone should have told the writers. If a Human (carbon based lifeform) encounters a silicon based virus or germ. The virus will simply "take up knitting" because it's incompatible with Human physiology
Don't like the Organians being so far from home.

Past Tense 1 & 2 of DS9. 'Check your email buddy, you're a loser too', lol. One of my favorite lines.

Orange man must have really messed up in his second term for things to be as bad as they are in 2024, lol.

DS9 "Time's Orphan" on H&I.
If that was my daughter, I would have immediately jumped through the portal after her.
If I were O'Brien I'd get Sisko to get the Defiant going. Open the classified procedures on time travel and go back 300 years and get her. They know how. Get it done.
ENT "Babel One" on H&I.
Those critical life support hoses on the EVA suits sure do get knocked off or damaged too easily.

TOS: The Doomsday Machine, streamed on Netflix.

Am I correct in assuming that a fusion explosion of ninety seven megatons will result if a starship impulse engine is overloaded?

No, sir. Ninety seven point eight three five megatons.

DS9 "The Sound of Her Voice" on H&I.
Solution to the lady Captain being dead for three years. See my solution for the previous episode. In other words...go back three years and save her.
Quark mentions Rules of Acquisition #285: "No good deed ever goes unpunished".
That rule is one of the basic tenants of Murphy's Law.
ENT "United" on H&I.
Interesting how two of the Tellarite ships looks just like a Xindi-Arboreal ship. Oops.

I haven’t seen the original non-CGI version in years. I admire the effort that was put into the CGI work, but there was something special about that AMT Constellation model from the original.

What bothers me now is how many of the Sulu and Decker closeups were out of focus. Of course all of the Kirk shots look perfect, with that one little spot of light on his face in almost every scene.

Ensign Ro. Never occurred to me until now that the Bajorans could be a metaphor for the Jewish people. Similar to how the Klingons represented the Russians back in the day.
Is this the only time they call a plural of them "Bajora"? I never heard that phrase in DS9.

TOS Tomorrow is Yesterday
First mention of UESPA and no Federation yet

TOS The Enemy Within,
Why didn't they use the shuttle to get the stranded crew?

The Omega Glory (TOS)

This is a really goofy, bad episode. But, hearing Shatner do his most "Shatner style" acting while reading part of the Constitution was hilarious, as was Spock's suddenly appearing super hypnotism.

TOS The Enemy Within,
Why didn't get they use the shuttle to get the stranded crew?
Real-world: the shuttlecraft prop, models and sets either weren’t ready, or didn’t exist when this episode was made.
In-universe: All the shuttles were broken, missing, or in the shop being repaired at the time.

DS9 "Tears of the Prophets" on H&I.
Aka "Crammed to the gills full of stuff"
Jadzia dies in this one.
DS9, the linchpin of the Alpha Quadrant, the most fortified post in the sector. So how did nobody detect Dukat's ship?
ENT "The Aenar" on H&I.
Said it before and I'll say it again. What does a blind race need with lights throughout their city?
And just how did such a tiny and isolated race develop the tech to build such a modern city?

Ha! That never occurred to me before. :)
I’m amazed that attempted rape scene was allowed back in the 60’s. You weren’t even allowed to strike a woman on tv back then.
