DS9 - What You Leave Behind

I don't know what to say...
I think I have lost my interest in DS9, the last few seasons have been weak during a rewatch of DS9's later seasons.
That's only my opinion of course but at some point this show went into a direction that isn't my thing.

Heart of Stone

Sisko continues to evolve as a character and an inspirational leader by giving a young man a chance to prove himself to earn the opportunity to StarFleet. Although the other story was strange and not well thought out, I felt the circumstances for Odo revealing his love for Kira was forced and pathetic. It was hard to swallow Odo, an honorable man, would stay on DS9 because of Kira. Odo has such a strong sense of pride and dedication for justice, I simply didn't believe this revelation.

Sadly, these little alterations of this great character will lead to things to come. Stuff I can't stomach. The 1st through the 3rd season had a gradual progression for the main cast of the series, but this episode, whoever wrote that A story, didn't like what were previously developed or really wanted a forced impact for future Dominion stories. So this ep. was a mixed bag for me.

I agree. DS9 peaked in season 5 with a consistent run of quality episodes, so seasons 6 and 7 were weaker by comparison. There were still good episodes in the last 2 seasons just not as many.

VOY - Fury (return of Kes)

Don't know what to make of it. Thought it was a pretty good episode with all the tension and finding out what's going on, but Kes turning into such a psychopath seems unlikely under any circumstances.

TNG-Booby Trap. Early third season TNG, the golden era of Star Trek, looks pristine on bluray.

TOS "The Trouble with Tribbles" on MeTV.
Always a must watch episode.
So what would have happened when Kirk opened the storage compartment if there were NOT any tribbles in it? Would he have been buried in a pile of raw grain?
Would like to have seen the look on the Klingon engineer's face when piles of tribbles started beaming in.

We refer to that as the Glutenverse. There's a Myriad Universe novel and IDW comic-tie in coming out in November.

A Star Trek does Western triple-bill:
TOS - "Spectre of the Gun"
TNG - "A Fistful of Datas"
ENT - "North Star"

While they don't go to the Wild West backlot, I guess I should dig out "The Magnificent Ferengi" for a laugh... and Iggy Pop.

Lord help me, I might go Space Nazis next time...

TNG - Reunion.

Easily in my top 5 all time best TNG episodes. Michael Dorn puts us through so much in this one.
The proud, strong, fearless warrior. The caring mate. The heartbroken lover.
Finally.. The Father.

Outstanding. Just outstanding.
