Certainly one of Kirk’s worst command decisions, risking Galileo and seven crewmembers (including his three most senior officers) to investigate Murasaki 312 (which, by the way, wasn’t exactly going anywhere) instead of prioritizing the medication delivery mission. Commissioner Ferris was an asshole, sure, but he wasn’t wrong.
