Afterimage, Garak and Ezri are my favourite DS9 characters, so watching them together is always a treat.

Speaking of whom, I've just watched TNG: "The High Ground" mostly for the bit near the end where Finn appears in front of Troi and she looks at him like he's a piece of s**t (and then when she turns to security then back again with a look of smug satisfaction on her face - although, there is also a hint of fear, too). It appears this episode contributed a lot to the Star Trek trailer on the DS9 VHS tapes I had in the 90s (you can see the smug satisfaction at about 3:14).
Just watched "The Communicator" epi on Enterprise last night. I wonder what would have happened if they did actually hang Archer & Lt. Reed??? Who do you think would be Captain & Armory officers then?
TOS-Return to Tomorrow. A stand out, with a lot of staple Star Trek concepts; advanced aliens who seeded other planets yet who lacked something only inferior humans could provide, body mind transference, and the message that having such advanced power corrupts mortal beings. The music in this episode is mostly original and doesn't overuse the stock TOS cues until the final climax on the bridge.

Hi, noob here. Last episode I watched was the Voyager 6th season, 17th episode, "Spirit Folk".
Since BBC America started showing these in order, I've been DVR'ing them. I only watched Voyager sporadically when it first aired. Many of the early season episodes are pretty dull and bleh.

Fairhaven - the only way Janeway can get any sex. 
TNG: Home Soil and Coming of Age, streamed on Netflix.
Home Soil: a really good episode with a genuine sci-fi storyline, certainly one of the better offerings from the first season.
Coming of Age: the Wesley story wasn't very good, it could (should) have been dropped entirely. The part with the Admiral and the OIG officer conducting their investigation was much more intetesting.

One of those little things that could have been easily fixed in TOS-R, but for some reason wasn't. Someone should start a thread, there are probably a few dozen missed opportunities like this at minimum, like adding in the missing tractor-beam sound in The Doomsday Machine.
I watched that recently too. The writers always (even through to his appearances in Voyager) seemed to like Dwight Schultz a lot more than I ever did, and this episode was the most irritating example of this.
The episode just disappointed me because for the 40 mins of set up to get to these potentially interesting new race of floating translucent heads, we got a few minutes of one talking to the crew on the bridge and then a Captain's Log. I for one was more interested in these people than Barclay becoming not-awkward.
Watching the Barclay episodes, I always half expected him to break into Howling Mad Murdock.
