Leap Ahead One Hour - Time Change

The more I think about it, the more I wish the time change would occur in the middle of the day rather than at night. That way, I would lose an hour of work, instead of an hour of sleep.

Unless of course you work at night, like I do sometimes.

(Sadly, I think I am working during the daytime when British Summer Time begins... :( :( :()

Ideally, I think maybe 8pm would be better for me. I work nights, too (usually 4pm to midnight).

Looks like you and I are about the only sane ones on this board.

Why these people deem it necessary to screw with perfectly good clocks twice a year.....:wtf:

Huh. I didn't know Arizona doesn't mess with the time.
So...do TV shows just air at different times throughout the year?

Depends on the channel - the local channels like CTV don't move the times of their shows because it's a local listing for SK. But national channels like Treehouse (the kids TV channel) does move all its shows to fit the DST of the rest of the country, so for us all the shows are an hour different.

Someone once told me that Daylight Savings Time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that Daylight Savings Time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.

DST normally doesn't bother me, but I definitely felt my missing hour of sleep last night. Getting up today was rough (it didn't help that the weather was cold and rainy).

Speak for yourself.... I plan to live forever.
