Last movie you saw?

"Battle of the Sexes" with Steve Carell and Emma Stone. A pretty good movie from HBO. I always found that sports event kind of a interesting footnote in American Sports History. A good exploration of sexism in the 70's and both actors are great, especially Stone. I like how Carrell wasn't really a bad guy which is accurate from what I recall from the story. He is basically just a lovable ham who likes to gamble and make money and is basically just putting on a show for the public.

Not recommended, but also by far not the worst I've seen...

Jurassic Park (1993), first time I have watch it since it was in cinemas. I am doing group read-a-thon/movie-a-thon of Jurassic Park on Facebook. I listened to the book last year, and have also listened to the first part of it this month.

picked up a Blu-Ray of... 2010 Odyssey 2 a decent "sequel" that became dated in the early 90s when the USSR collapsed and Pan Am went belly up..the "future technology" shown is rather quaint (many of the computers have big hulking CRT monitors of about 19 " +) but still an enjoyable movie..

Avengers: Infinity War (part 1). Bought the digital copy with bonus features the other night from Amazon Prime. Liked it well enough to watch it twice in two days. Didn't live up to the hype in my opinion, but was a fun popcorn flick none the less. I though Star Lord's characterization was a bit off, but everyone else was fine. Looking forward to the conclusion to the story corner that the writers backed themselves into..

Watched "We Need to Talk About Kevin" again for the first time in awhile. I had no idea that the new Flash had such a grim backstory. Guess that's what happens when two Marvel characters make love and produce a DC child.

Deadpool 2.

It was highly aware of itself (not that the first wasn't) and pushed the boundaries even further, but it turned out to be a great movie in the end.

I bought the Supercut on Amazon. It comes with both the theatrical and Supercut versions, but they're in one movie. The Supercut is second and I haven't watched that yet.

Just saw mission slowmotion impossible 2, hard to concentrate on the movie with all the boring slowmotion. What a boring movie, without the slowmotion the movie would be over in 15 minutes

Just saw Deadpool 2 and RBG. Both good films, especially the latter. Loved the humor in Deadpool 2 and appreciated RBG that much more after seeing all that she's done over the years.

I felt the want to rewatch the Godfather part 1 again, my favorite of them.

It gets very quick and even hard to miss a lot of details in the second half than I remembered, which is probably a consequence of adapting such a huge book. The pacing is probably super solid like the first half throughout the latter, which I definitely need to read sometime. I bought it years ago and still haven't gotten to it.
