To this old musician (51), Gaga is nothing more than a Madonna imitator.

Because, as we all know, Madonna never imitated anyone.

And really so what? Lady Gaga is making music for teenagers and this generations of young people not for 51 year old musicians to ponder over. For that group, Madonna is that old lady that their parents like.

Her 'shtick', while bizarre and annoying, is at least original.

Ah, no.

The especially disappointing thing about her is she really is just your average pop star playing dress up - her music would not be that out of place on a Britney Spears album. Hell, Telephone was offered to Britney first. If she put as much time into writing original, provocative music as she does into picking out new shoes we might have something here.

Instead we get Ace of Base rehashes being sung by somebody wearing deli cold cuts.

Hmm... It worked for me. Well anyway I agree that her songs are usually kinda dumb, but she has amazing vocal talent. Just look up any video of her alone with a piano. Thing about Gaga is that she craves the fame, so the music needs to appeal to the masses. Shes capable of so much more.
