La Sirena

I think the holodeck is beneath the bridge. In the episode after Maddox was killed, where Picard, Agnes, and Elnor were talking ion the mess area, Picard gets up and heads for the door at the front of the mess, besides the stairs up to the bridge. Presumably off to his chateau recreation.
Could be but the area is not very large, then again a holodeck doesn't need much room at all.

I got the impression that Picards chateau is on one of the sides though, would have to watch again to see if we get any hints at all.

In the real world, an unregistered ship is one that has never registered with a nation. Ships that register with a nation have to obey the maritime laws of that nation. Pirates, smugglers, and other individuals who wish to operate on the margins use unregistered ships.

There is a window, possibly the skylight, above the forward cockpit window on the model.

And that view, which someone said was a exterior shot looking into the sickbay, they are wrong. A comparison of the images shows that the camera was positioned forward of the sickbay, in the interior of the ship, and was looking into the sickbay from a new angle.

Fun fact: the French never could decide whether their national prestige liner Normandie ought to be male or female, that is, le or la, because the paying customers, to a large part American, would have expected the latter even though the general French practice would have been for a ship to be the former. So, like the Borg, it was neither he nor she, just Normandie. So that's one ship where saying "the Normandie" would actually be wrong!

Nothing wrong with "the Sirena", though, in terms of precedent or practice. Or with just plain Sirena. Just refrain from making her the La Sirena...

Just a nit being picked, the sickbay set is weird. One bio bed. Walls surrounded by filing cabinets and some lab equipment, and an odd table for four. Is that the medical conference table for all the medical staff La Serena does not have? Initially I thought it was a mess table but in the next episode we see the actual mess. So why the table? Why not another biobed or something useful...

Spitting Distance is the default and Rios lost the manual.
Or threw it into supernova, because he disagreed with it. :rommie:

So the EMH, EPH, ELTH, and ENH can argue over diagnoses.

So, that's ^ happening next ep. so yeah.... it's been nice knowing ya Sirena.

And after such a lovely melancholy pan across Rios' collection of sirens:weep:.

:D Call in the EF.D.H

LOL kidding, likely just a quick entering atmosphere adjustment, and it'll be fine!

Also FYI Rios' emergency override password is Arroz Con Leche song,

I think that one of those flower things and not the ship
It's one of those flower Satellites that has enveloped the La Sirena.

See how the petals are bending and notice the tentacles.
R5GbU0t.jpg

It envelopes the ship and then crashes through the atmosphere.

We see the evidence of that when the trailer shows the ship losing power and then everything going dark even though the sun is shining through the main viewscreen.

So assuming La Sirena survives the above, anyone curious or hope to get an in-atmosphere landing scene? Some shifting stabilizer or "wing" configuration visual(is that dated tec.?)? Landing-gear deploy? Hatch / Boarding ramp reveal etc.? The emergence of a ground-vehicle loaded within? Something else?
Any guesses or hopes what we could see?

Or is that superfluous unnecessary detail, you mostly satisfied with what we've seen, locked into space out of atmosphere, and only ever using transporters in and out?

Love next weeks (I assume) opening shot of La Sirena tearing through the Borg transwarp conduit.

La Sirena has the classic red alert!

Strap in! Yes there are seat-belts!

Got to say, I loved the dog-fight La Sirena vs Narek's snake-ship of the opening scene.
Wish it had gone on a bit longer.

Well we definitely got the anticipated "landing" scene. Although no landing-gear deployment visual yet, as it was a crash!

But we did finally get an exit hatch reveal in the main-cargo/mess-hall below, (seems to be a parallel hatch above on the second level.

Only the two levels as predicted.

The crew exiting the ship really revealed the scale well.

...also several surprise 'windows" throughout the interior. (Or at least Agnes seems to take note of them) This time in the medical bay is flooded by light..

We've seen La Sirena uses opening and closing window blinds throughout.
Rios likes it dark.
Here the bridge "blinds" were engaged....

If there is any kind of extra hull towards the back remains to be seen, but exterior shots make it clear it's mostly engines back there.

We also see the name of the ship bomber style written in a script on the side of the ship.
It's hard to make out if there was also an accompanying vintage bomber-girl style drawing of a Sirena on the side? If there was it would seem appropriate (or maybe the logo of the ship), although looks like it's been faded out.

I don't think that was the main entry/exit hatch, more like an emergency hatch for crash landings as seen. When the ship is in flight, you can see the landing gear under the wings, and if it were to sit on them in a standard landing, the bridge/nose would be too high off the ground to use those hatches normally. I think there's probably a boarding ramp in the belly accessed through the corridors that disappear off the rear of the flight deck.

I noted that both Agnes and Picard claimed there would be room on board La Sirena for the entire community of synthetics - and there seemed to be quite a lot of them. I'm not convinced Rios does actually have enough crew quarters for them all, but I daresay they could rough it for a while!

And they'd be particularly well equipped to rough it. Just have them stand shoulder to shoulder and you pack a lot of them in the spaces so far seen!

The stern of the main hull block has lots and lots of greeblies, including a trapezoid that could well work as the main entrance, Klingon BoP style. With a ramp or an elevator, or then just a kneeling type of landing gear. Not an option in this landing, obviously.

Some new shots: again from - https://www.star-trek.info/

La Sirena's core powered down
Also a clear shot of the mid-level-windows into the second level medical-bay
aRWxIFu.jpg

And the reverse shot same interior-windows, pov looking up at them from Medical-bay.

Another profile shot detail (lol Narek throwing rocks!)

And at night, all the windows lit up.

A new room? Different from the main mess-hall, Captains Ready Room? Strategy room?
FggvDI5.jpg

NmYIJ02.jpg

Seems to open into the main deck level 1 (any guess?
xvdqPl6.jpg

Great shot deck 2 mess, light flooding in from upper deck bridge forward window, and a ceiling skylight above?
As well as the exit hatch on the side.
YxuxkiF.jpg

Not even sure, is this down from the outer hull(roof?), through that skylight down into the deck 2 mess?
