Looking back at season 1 they didn't seem to have a high budget if they had to borrow the same, or very similar designs as appeared on GOT, I mean those creatures looked just like those.
Season 3 is likely at this point according to Spoiler TV analysis.

I am liking the new season of La Brea. I like that we are slowly getting more answers to the big mystery.
