How do you figure he's greedy? He's not doing this for money. Yes, I'm a follower of Min. Farrakhan and have been for nearly 20 years. I really don't care what that article says. The article you posted is total B.S. There's nothing B.S. about Min. Farrakhan. But this is not the board for such a debate.Checkout this "In Living Color" skit from back in 1990:

Yeah, really 'funny' skit that Marlon & Keenan came up with-NOT! More like really stupid and full of shit (why can't they make fun of rappers/R&B stars and most black sitcoms the same way?) They're more full of crap, and more deserving of a put down than Star Trek was or is. Plus, the skit's as infamous as the 'Get A Life' skit from SNL.
I'm an Afro-American, I didn't laugh then, and I'm still not laughing now. I hate Farrakhan's greedy guts all to pieces, and the Wayans brother's letting this genocidal asshole get off scott-free from parody while going after Star Trek only shows how fucked up the world is, and how scared they must be of the NOI, as well as being enthralled by that bullshit Million Man March.
BTW, here's an article on Farrakhan's so-called 'great organization for the Black man'-

Actually, it was back in 1989-1990 when rappers started getting "all criminal," which is why M.C. Hammer lost his popularity in the early-1990's.Not to mention, this was 1990, what black sitcoms were there to parody? The Cosby Show? The Jeffersons? Good Times? I can't think of anything else so if I missed a show, let me know. Not to mention, back then, there were more rappers putting out positive messages than the crap that came out in subsequent years. Public Enemy, Run DMC, Salt N' Peppa(sp), and Queen Latifah (yeah, she's been around that long) were very decent, and very hard hitting with their message, so what exactly are you trying to say here?

Yeah, I know that. But there were plenty more rappers and Hip Hop artists with positive messages at that point - Arrested Development had yet to put out their album. And Hammer was hardly the first - NWA with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, and Ice T are given the credit as the instrumental voices in the development of gangsta rap. Hammer didn't fit the profile of a gangster - that's why his popularity faded - Ice Cube and Ice T are still around.
But the Star Trek skit was funny...thanks for posting it.

You misunderstood me. I agree with you on the Obama thing (although I voted for Clinton) - but what does he have to do with music? I thought you were talking about rap in your last post - hence the NWA/Ice T reference. And while I don't follow Farrakhan, his message is keeping some black men off the streets and out of jail, and we can all be thankful for that.
Do you want to get into this here? I suppose we could start another thread or PM, but I tried to steer the final statement of my last post back to the point of the thread, the In Living Color skit.
