Kasidy Yates did nothing illegal

In fact the more I think about this the fact the higher ups like Sisko can bomb planets and start/encourage wars and get away it, and Dax can go off murdering Klingons, while the little people get jailed for a bit of illegal activity... well nothing has changed from the 21st century!

All of the above is partly why I refer to it as the "Anti-Trek": the same old song and dance, only, with new suits and dresses.

None of those things are "medical supplies." Yes, there are some drugs that are bad. That's not what was happening here. Biomemetic gel isn't "medical supplies", either.
We don't know what the medical supplies consisted of. Might have been harmless, might not. That's why charitable organizations taking medical supplies to an enemy need to get them inspected.

How long was she in jail?

14 episodes and a mid season hiatus.

Hanging out in Auckland building stuff?

Sleep education, abuse, and mind probe surgery, or replaced with a clone who can follow the rules?

When you consider Garak's sentence, being the captain's girl was not an advantage.

Kasidy did six months for smuggling medical supplies.
Garak did six months for attempted genocide.

Sounds about even. ;)
Well, Kasidy was not in a position to help the Federation break Cardassian codes and win the war, was she. Welcome to realpolitik.
