(1) Did he make any GOOD Sci Fi movies before 2009? (There are only so many times I can watch Star Trek...)
(2) Damn... our guy is bada$$. He scares me. It is those eyes... At least in Bourne Supremacy, he was scary, but I still wanted to do him.

(1) I'm learning that pretty much, Karl's the one who makes the drecky sci-fi movies worth watching. If you ever have a chance, rent the DVD of Riddick and listen to it with the commentary--he's one of the commenters, and that's a much better way to watch it.
(2) I didn't like him at first in this, but now I'd do him, even with the Vaako-mullet, in a heartbeat. And I, for one, completely understand where you're coming from.
(3) Don't have an answer to that one; I wondered, too.
(4) I understand Pathfinder (which makes Riddick look Oscar-worthy
) has a pretty hot love scene, but I've never seen the uncut version that includes it so I can't vouch for the hotness quotient personally. I know some of the posters in this thread have seen it, so they'll probably weigh in.
I have found a new reason to stop by this thread, Mariajl's posts.
I personally believe that Riddick is a case of a bad movie happening to several good actors. Judi Dench, Thandie Newton, Karl Urban....Thankfully the DVD I rented died during the prison break scene (racing the sun) and put me out of my misery.
The nicest thing I can say about the movie is that the necromongers ships looked medieval cool.
