Pine did some movie called CARRIERS right after he filmed TREK...anyone seen it? I haven't yet.

Carriers is an ok movie. I think some people go in expecting it to be like 28 Days or some other apocalyptic zombie movie because of some of the marketing, and that's going to lead to disappointment because its not about zombies. Just a virus.

Chirs did really well, I think. His character is a douchey departure from Kirk.

I'm not sure why the fact that Karl Urban looks so tall here gets me all hot and bothered, but it does. He's only 6'1", right? Those cadets in the front must be very short.

ETA: He has a long torso. You can really see it in the red cadet uniform, and I noticed it right away the first time I saw this shirtless photo of him from one of his movies:

I did that, and it was actually a good movie. Karl was superbly cold. And speaking of cold, I also recently saw Comanche Moon, just to see him. He played Woodrow Call, who is the most emotionally stunted literary character I've ever read or seen. In the interviews, Karl said something interesting - although it's not original with him, I still find it good that he picked up on it and used it - which was that Call was unable to live in the safe, civilized society that he spent most of his life trying to create.
