I had nothing better to do tonight so just at random I watched the first two episodes of Game of Thrones on demand. I don't know much about the series (And haven't read the books) but so far I like what I've seen. There are some things that I'm a bit iffy on (Like the whole Kalisie storyline) but I'm sure as the season goes on things will start coming together. I think the thing I'm liking the most about it is it feels really epic for a TV series. I know it's HBO and they're known for this kind of thing, but so far, Game of Thrones feels grand, with incredible scenery and a very nice musical score.
Also, Dinkledge is pretty much as advertised. Of all the characters introduced so far, I'm actually liking him the best. Really liked that dinner scene in episode 2. At least he's bringing the humor.
I guess to give this thread direction, does anyone have any tips on how to go about watching a series like this without having read the books? Also, please I've only seen the first two episodes so try not to have big time spoilage. I'm actually looking forward to watching the rest and joining in on Season 2.
