Just a quick question about series order

A century after Enterprise, ten years before TOS.

ENT was set in the 2150s. TOS in the latter half of 2260s (Aside from The Cage as indicated above). SNW starts off sometimes in 2256/7ish

Keep in mind, take it all with a pinch of salt. It's pretty much a reboot except not quite. Modern looks and sensibilities which clash quite a bit with the 6 or 10 years later (depending which episode of SNW you're watching) TOS.

The Flash Back to the Cage, on the "Previously on Star Trek" clip in the episode where they went back to Talos IV, showed footage from the cage.

It's possible that all we are dealing with here is a real time "filter" on the Universal Translator, that makes things and people look and sound different.

Sure? It's hand in hand, IMHO. Otherwise you might go in expecting the end of one to perfectly sync with the start of the other.

It's like X-Men: Days of Future Past. They still cross the old with the new and ignore the differences in characterisation and changes in backstory.

Nah. If the story says this happened and then this happened. That’s all you need.
