Jupiter Ascending

She can make millions manipulating the honey Market.

I saw it. There are worse things.

Cant hate a movie where a wolf-boy fights dragon-men in Jupiter's Red Spot.

What does Mila Kunis mean?

Well, translated from Huttese, it means "Put him in!". (not so sure I'm crazy about that translation)

In Native American, Mila Kunis means "Fine!"
I can live with that translation....'coz Mila Kunis IS Fine!

:D

Isn't she only in a dress once? They could've played up the whole "Naboo" aspect more to sell the wanting to go back to normal life. Obviously there was a big formal structure but it was only hinted at by the fact that the siblings respected her position and the inspired but out of the blue bureaucracy scene. Might have been interesting to have more of the machine that the siblings were presumably cogs within.

I don't think showing Mila in a procession of fancy dresses is going to be terribly appealing to the male market.

She wore a pink dress with the Kalique Abrasax, a black dress with the Titus Abrasax, and a white dress with flowers at the wedding with Titus Abrasax.

I remember them now that I look at the pix online. There's a lot hurled on the screen so I'm not surprised I didn't recall. While the movie didn't have a lot of depth it probably had more scope than it could hold.

My wife says the main point of this film is to see Mila Kunis in a lot of very pretty dresses.

Equality is served by having Channing Tatum spend half the movie shirtless for no reason.

What? :cardie:

There's a very IMPORTANT reason! :p

Hey what bothers me is after Mila Kunis is kidnapped, Channing Tatum jumps onto their ship, and presumably clings to it as it travels through space. He is, after all, still clinging to it when it arrives at the other planet. Being shirtless in space, dude must have been cold.

I thought he was ejected into space with a space suit and saved by the other ship.

Doesn't hold a candle to Guardians of the Galaxy, but hey Mila Kunis is always a good thing. ;)

Alas, I wasn't really enticed to go see GotG on the big screen...and I'll eventually get it on blu-ray, or just wait for it to hit Netflix. I've heard it's a pretty good flick, so I'll catch it when I can. :)

As mentioned by sojourner you're thinking of a completely different scene.

I thought it was implied they did the equivalent of someone getting retracted into a plane with the landing gear at lift-off and getting out the same way on landing, while being protected inside during flight.

Yeah I was thinking something similar. Strangely enough though it reminded me of the scene in Raiders where Indy was pulled to the sub base, in the book he threw his whip around the periscope and allowed the sub drag him to the base. The 5Th Element scene also bame to mind.

It's a shame the box office failure means we won't get the story continued. I'd really love to find out what happens next. To find out more about the royal brother and sister whose loyalties we never really learned.

Titus got arrested, as Cain was telling Jupiter before she cut him off. The siblings seem to all be childless, so Kalique gets everything that Balem had.

Titus said something about only owning four planets or something, so Kalique wins.

The only way Indy can survive the trip is if the sub just stays on the surface, but that is eminently possible given it isn't wartime so there was no need for them to submerge unless they had to.

WWII U Boats were not capable of traveling underwater for long periods of time. They didn't have oxygen recycling systems the way subs do now. They only submerged just before attacking. So a U Boat cruising somewhere undetected would never go underwater.
