Jeri Ryan

ABSOLUTELY.

In the same time, it seems to me that Seven/the Doctor is as ridiculous as Seven/Chakotay. Come on, the Doctor is a hologram! -> how could Seven would have been able to recover all aspects of her humanity ... with a hologram, which tries itself to exist to exist as a living being?
As it was very clear that the Doctor was in love with Seven, I was surprised not to see him trying to create a hologram of Seven only for him...

Maybe he did. Once he's been guarantied privacy after the hierarchy incident. Janeway herself said that they shouldn't have had access to his reveries.

The last weekend, I was surprised to see that a TV channel has programmed 2 tvmovies with Jeri Ryan. "Secrets in the Walls" was aired on Saturday 17th and "Dead Lines", the day after. I guess that it was a pure coincidence but anyway, it was a happy one for me, because it allowed to see Ryan in some different roles from Seven of Nine. :techman:

- " Secrets in the Walls" (2010 or 2011):
A mother and her two teenage daughters move into an ancient house in a suburb of Detroit, when it is offered at a very low price. It turns out that this house is haunted by the spirit of a bride who found herself immured in the 50s.
-> creepy and a great part of the action took place in darkened rooms. Nothing special but nothing bad.

- "Dead Lines" (2010)
When an environmentally friendly fashion designer and advocate for women around the world is about to launch her highly anticipated line of clothing and open her first flagship store when one of her employees is found murdered. As a series of frightening events unfold, Sophie realizes she must act quickly if she is to save not only her career but the life of her teenage daughter.
-> a pretty good thriller shot in Montreal (Canada)

1) Both roles were well acted by Ryan.
2) It is obvious that the actress feels very at ease with the young individuals, what is not given to everybody!

But well, after to have seen Jeri Rayn performing the complex Seven of Nine during 4 seasons, I shouldn't be hardly surprised. :D
I recommend you to look at them, if you have the possibility of it. :)

She also appeared in two episodes of Two And A Half Men. in one of them she treats Charlie like a sex object and in the second she almost sleeps with his brother Alan who manages to ruin everything with his compulsions and insecurities.

I wonder if Shatner hit on her.

Remember the scene where Seven is being menaced by Satan's Robot and she calmly declares "I am Borg" and rips his wires out? I think we would get a replay of that scene with two exceptions 1) Jeri would rip off his toupee instead of his wiring 2) Shatner's line delivery wouldn't be as smooth as Satan's Robot's.

Well, I don't think she played Seven on Boston Legal.;)

Well, here's a teaser . . . ;)

Yeah, that's American TV for you. Violence, no matter how gruesome and revolting is shown from every angle but when a woman is naked the most you'll ever see of her are her ankles. I wonder what they would show if a naked woman was being slaughtered, I guess we'd go into one of those conflicts between two laws that destroy an Asimovian robot.

She's amazing on Voyager.
Agreed.

Would she have played the scene in the first place if it called for full frontal?

I'll hazard a guess and say no. she has kids and that's usually a motivation to keep it clean, or her friends and family might be watching. we Americans and our 'purity' ;) Like people say, we'll show you graphic violence that will give you nightmares or create a more hostile desensitized society but heaven forbid we show naked skin thinking we'll turn our children into sex crazed maniacs. SMH.

The problem with nudity is that once an actress goes nude in a movie, she's got no surprises left. That's why so many of them who never went naked in a movie when they were young and hot do go naked in movies when they hit 40 - mostly to feel like they've still got it. This would include actresses who you know got naked on the set for a certain shot, but the camera's not given a full frontal view of it. I'm sure puritanism and religious beliefs are motivations for it, occasionally, but it's more often to do with keeping interest going. 'It's sexier to conceal than reveal.'
