Still catching up on books from last week, hit my Indie pile.
Divinity #3 - Some nice revelations in this issue and an expansion on the broader ideas on how Abram seemed to gain his powers. Still, it was very broad strokes and leaves VALIANT room to expound on specifics later. The "fight" with UNITY felt very forced and was the weakest part of the book. I'm still a bit confused on the ending with his wife&daughter though. Did they get pulled through time separately? Are they in the present?
Black Hood #3 - I'm not really familiar with other incarnations of this character but I understand this Dark Circle imprint is going to be edgier versions of them and this book keeps delivering thus far. I was a fan of the writer on Dark Horse's 'X' and he's bringing the same tone here. I like how Greg spent the issue trying to get ahold of his addiction & his speech therapy as he realized he needed to in order to fully commit to this double life as the Hood.
Solar Man of the Atom #11 - this is arc of this series has finally shown what the title should've been from the get go. Not only is it getting solid with the Dr.Spektor crossover but Eclipse as his nemesis makes this arc much more worth reading. Then, we finally get Phil back in solid form just in time for the last issue. No more playing the role of Prof.Stein like the last 7/8 issues which was part of the dullness I felt.
