Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

My thoughts: the bridge window is a necessity; mainly, it is the on-screen version, and secondly, it reimagines the WNMHGB exterior design. YMMV :)

In order to do it, I need to build a set to put in there. I can do that, I have the ability, but it adds a lot of polys to the mesh, especially when I am trying to keep it simple and download friendly. Eaves' early concept didn't have the bridge window and had straight pylons, rather than swept-back ones. Anyone who plays Star Trek Online and has the Legendary DSC Constitution can use that version. In fact I use it, so it is an option.

As I say, I can create the set, and have hold up real good under close inspection, but that is a project in of itself. So I am vetoing. We know that they move away from the window anyway eventually :techman:

you could do that thing where you find a good photo of the bridge from directly in front, and make a little box, in the bridge area, whatsit,
I did think of that, but to hold up to close inspection, it would still require some set pieces.

I know, people are disappointed, but to coin a phrase - "I'm building this ship..."

Anyways, more later

Updates - apart from the name and reg, the saucer is pretty much done -

More during the week.

They sent me home, with adjusted (and some new) medication. Options have been discussed, realities have been confronted...

I'll be back at the coal face later this week.

Realities confronted sounds pretty intense. Big hugs brother. If you need a talk...
