I am so liking that curve on the saucer. Very TMP-ish in it's own way while blending TOS and SNW.The beginning of the Impulse Engines...

LOVE the patch design. Captures the essence of the planned build and your embroidery effect is absolutely perfect! And whilst I forget...

You can thank Eaves for that, I am following his shapes on this. The textures however... They will be a little more TOS.I am so liking that curve on the saucer. Very TMP-ish in it's own way while blending TOS and SNW.
You can thank the AI on my laptop, "Fred" (FReindly Electronic Data - what? Copilot asked me to name it!). I set the parameters and gave a set of defined instructions; it put the image together and surprised me with the embroidery effect. And just for the record, the AI still hasn't tried to kill me yet. When time permits, I will. I need to think about how I release the textures on them. The hull uses 7 blended maps to achieve the effect you've seen, and if there is more than one hull colour, there can be several sets of these. I have them all saved as bitmaps on my rig - and given the power of that beast, that's not an issue. BUT, I know I am going to have to convert them all to jpeg format, and maybe scale them back. The single release I have done (The USS Windrunner) was a ballache to sort out, and that was sent to its designer, Atolm as they requested. I think I will have to do each release based on how I handled that. So a day's work for each ship, and I have how many ships? lol. I have no idea. Need to count them up. I mean, I have four different Constitutions now, TOS, Refit, SNW and my own take.Seriously man release these beauties so that we can get to work making righteous art wit them!
Ahem lovely progress, digging the fusion of TMP, TOS and SNW.
If the texture maps are hi-resolution perhaps PNG might be better. Exporting as FBX will also be a better option also but I am just digging your work. When time permits, I will. Let me think on it.
It's something I need to look into.If the texture maps are hi-resolution perhaps PNG might be better. Exporting as FBX will also be a better option also but I am just digging your work.
It's something I'm thinking about. It's not a simple set to build, and I don't want to overcomplicate this model. I may go with Eaves original concept of no window. But I have left the option open :-)Coming along real nice! Are you planning on modeling the interior of the bridge?
You should hear my dad jokesOoooh. Very bad pun there. Fourteen thumbs up.
