I've Found The West Wing

The jump seems to happen in between the episode where the former President dies (where Bartlett walks up the steps of the Lincoln monument) and the episode after.

Zoey was in her 20s when season 4 ended, she was graduating from college early I think, so I think she was 21.

Of course the most famous that you forgot is Mandy-land! She just disappears, then of course there is the missing year jump no one seems to care about. They got reelected in season 4, that would be November 2002, then the end of season 4 would be May 2003, then they have the new leadership and in season 6 it's 2005 I think, and they already had the midterms, and people are running for president. I need to rewatch season 5-6 to see where the jump happened.

But what get's me about the map is that they had a map in the season 4 finale, and then it was in a different place in season 5 starter!

My favorite thing no one seems to notice is when season 1 ended they didn't have a plan for season two, so they just made it up after it was already filmed. One of the president's bodyguard pushed CJ to the ground in season 1, it is very clear. Then in season 2 to make a b-story it ended up being Sam that pushed CJ to the ground.

Yeah yeah. And Lady Macbeth didn't seem to know how many children she'd had. ;)

Actually I went back and paused it during that scene and through the car window you can actually see Sam holding CJ as they fall meaning he pushed...The agent is actually pushing past CJ because he's drawing his weapon so he can shoot back.

WW was a great series, and I'm rewatching the whole thing for the third time now. All great characters, but the one that really stands out for me is Leo, played by a great actor, John Spencer.
When he died, I felt a great sadness; his death had a lot more impact than any other actor's death. It might have something to with the fact he reminded me very much of my grandfather (especially his voice).
The heart-attack scene was especially powerful because John already had one in RL and died because of another one. That's so close to RL that it simply gives you chills. I still feel sad when I see him in WW.
According to his colleagues, he was a kind and wonderful man, and you can feel that when you watch his scenes.

Halfway through season 5 and its clearly got a different tone to it, with a more serious feel to it but its not all bad IMO. I love the humor in the show but feel WW does it nest when serious because after all this is about the people in charge of America. Also it does make a change and not all 7 seasons will be the same so thats a good thing, however saying that you can clearly tell Sorkin was the superior brain on this show.

I loved the end of season 4 plot with the kidnapping and my only annoyance was the French dude didn't get knocked out by Charlie ;).

My favourite episode in season 5 so far was the N.Korean pianist and wow I just found out how young the actress playing Margaret was, so young she looks older in the show but in a nice mature way ;).

Alright, I've seen all of Season 6 except for the season finale.

Boy, Santos and Russell really seem to despise each other on a personal level... that photo-op with Bartlet in "In God We Trust" where both don't say a single word to each other, and then Russell's botched attempt to convince Santos to be his running mate. Their relationship is almost as worse as Bartlet's and Ritchie's were. Santos probably sees Russell as the prime example for an empty suit and a political opportunist (which he is), while in Russell's opinion Santos tries to "steal" from him what is "righfully" his (the nomination).

Ah, and Bruno is back!! I really enjoyed the scenes with Ron Silver and Alan Alda.

I also agree that the "White House" episodes are far less interesting than the "election" episodes. Maybe that's because the WH episodes are standalone, while we have an arc again with the election episodes. And the standalone White House episodes constitute disruptions from those interesting episodes. Also, election storylines have always been more interesting than other storylines. This was also the case during Bartlet's re-election campaign in Seasons 3 and 4.

Geek moment! I just saw 7X13 The Cold and SPOILER--------Josh and Donna finally made out! And she gave him the key to her room but then some bitch saw it and returned it! I'd forgotten the eternal sexual tension between those two since they've been separate since the end of S5-------------------SPOILER

I normally hate will-they-wont-they relationships (it's one of the reasons I gave up on Studio 60) but Josh and Donna was one I could really get behind because of the great chemistry between them. Just watch their scenes together in 2x18 17 People and you can see what I'm talking about. I wish they hadn't dragged it out so much because it seemed like they would hook up near the end of season 2, then 4, 5, 6 & 7. I love that interview scene in 7x01 The Ticket, it was heart-breaking, especially since Janel Moloney disappeared from the credits for a few episodes so it seemed like that was her last appearance in the show.

I watched season 2-4 in about 3-4 weeks, then I got to season five and I watched 4 episodes, skipped a few in about 10 days. That's how I know the show wasn't the same, you skip episodes going "This stupid thing happens then".

Yeah, I'm just rewatching season 7 at the moment and saw that scene last night. It hurt, even though Donna deserved Josh's 'yeah...but I won' after the way she and Will carried on during the primaries. Still took a lot of guts to come and ask him for a job though.

Season 7 is one of my favourite seasons :)

Wooooooo! Just saw "Election Night Part One" and SPOILERS--------------------Josh and Donna are screwing like bunny rabbits over and over! And here I was worried they were going to write each other off. A happy ending. And man speaking of the happy theme music playing at the end after something sad... it ends with Annabeth discovering Leo dead in his hotel room and then doo-doo-dee-doo-doo yeesh--------------------SPOILERS

Am near the end of season 5, I recenrly enjoyed the episode with Glenn Close's character she was fantastic and dam she ages well :). My only real big problem with season 5 is that well they haven't done much, been at such a standstill though we did get the cool 2 parter where the government was well closed due to no budget...President walking to and away from the Reps .

but still not enough done for my liking...Also I don't like the Andy character, If she didn't want to marry Toby again, tell him before you sleep with him.

Yeah, I never really understood that whole thing with Toby and Andy. They divorced, they slept together, Toby wants to get married, and Andy tells him to sod off?

Also, that Angela Blake character in season 5 is an annoying fishwife. Not quite as annoying as Jean-Paul in season 4, though. It baffled me why the characters kept commenting on how attractive he was. I thought he was hideous, with a mangled face and hair that was crying out for a wash. No way is he better looking than Abbey Bartlet ;)

I only have the series finale left to watch now! While I've really enjoyed the last 1.5 years and change of direction, I really miss the old characters, particularly the President. He's barely on the show anymore! Charlie I swear had a total of 10 minutes screen time the entire final season. I don't know why Abby is in the main cast when she's only in every fifth episode. It seems that it basically became the "Josh and C.J. Show" with the others just making cameos. My other complaint? I really wanted to see the Prez stay in that wheelchair. I wanted to see a systematic deterioration so that by the end of his presidency he was like Reagan in a wheelchair. They do an episode or two in the chair, then he has a cane for a few after that, then he's fine again?

Watching season 6 at the moment and I am loving the middle east story at the moment, very compelling stuff but poor Admiral, I am so gutted :(.

Thank you! Is she even in the later seasons? I think they realized she is useless and replaced her with the useless blonde woman.

I hate the Middle East story, so unreal. Andy and Toby might not have had sex, they tried otherwise too. She wanted to have children for years and years, but doesn't want to marry Toby again. Like people in this country have children after getting married. The main point to the whole storyline was just to have the season 4 finale with Toby having his children and The President losing his.
