Get something nice for your better half, k? Luv ya.

I like to think that thanks to JJ Adams, TATV is no longer a concern as it was just a program Riker and Troi were running. That timeline no longer exists.

Well, since the events depicted in TATV took place in 2370 and 2161, it's possible that in JJ's universe Riker and Troi never even met, let alone played a weird holo-game together some time later.

But the adventures of Jonathan Archer and the NX-01 crew very much happened in both universes (since the timelines branched out 72 years after NX-01 supposedly got decommissioned).

But since we already know that graphic data displayed on computer terminals isn't canon, then neither is the TATV simulation, because in essence, it's the same thing, only interactive and in 3D. :D

The ONLY way I can image TATV working as a Valentine is that it's a Valentine to the Star Trek: Enterprise haters, giving them a Dallas-style escape route - that the entire show was just a holodeck game Riker played between and during episodes of Next Gen, no more "real" than Tom and Harry's Captain Proton holoprograms seen in Voyager.

James Dixon would have loved it.

So glad I hadn't realised.

Anyway it was basically set on another of those Enterprise-Ds from "Parallels"...

Put "These are the Voyages..." alongside "The Pegasus" and it's obviously not the same universe! :p

JJ Adams? What the the commander of United Planets Cruiser C57-D have to do with TATV? Is Forbidden Planet canon now? ;)

Jesus Christ, I've been saying that for years now!

Remember this?
Yes, I liked that theory and it could explain the discontinuites. Not sure it explains why there are two Rikers in the opening Ten Forward scene though. Thomas joined the crew perhaps? :p

Perhaps it was just some fat guy sporting Riker's styling, trying the get with them ladies and stuff.

BTW, could someone post a screencap of two Rikers in TATV?

ST has done one episode thay could pass as a valentine to the fans, for the 30th Anniversary DSN's "Trials & Tribble-ations"

And Voyager's "Flashback", which crossed over with STVI quite nicely (even though the Excelsior looked different and Valtane wasn't dead at the end of STVI!)
