Iv been looking for a good sci fi thriller novel similar to movies like source code and inception and so far I cant seem to find any that stand out. in the past most of the sci fi books I read that were said to be amazing I found to be incredibly boring and a chore to get through. Furthermore the only sci fi books I loved so far were ready player one and the Martian. I also found starship troopers to be okay but not as good as I had hoped. So could anybody please recommend any good sci fi thriller novels?

Cyborg by Martin Caidin, if you can find it.

It's the basis for the Six Million Dollar Man and by its nature is a sci-fi spy thriller.

Ernest Cline has a second book out, called Armada. Sounds like you're looking for more of the airplane novel type reads.

19 by Peter Clines
Wool by Hugh Howey

''Footfall.''

By Niven and Pournelle, I assume.

Funny story: Key parts of that book are set in Bellingham, WA, which Niven and Pournelle visited for research purposes prior to writing the book. Some of my friends gave them a tour of the town . . . .

If you don't mind a multiple part novel of several thousand pages, I can recommend Otherland by Tad Williams.
It's a cyberspace epic. Much broader in scope than source code and inception.
