I did so because (1) I had access to the book and (2) in the sense of completeness. A toupee is a partial wig worn to cover partial baldness. It's etymology is French related to "top" or "tuft." If one wore a piece to make his hair fuller and more forward on the head (his tuft), then it is very much a toupee in the strictest definition.
