Spoilers Is Morn in Season 3?

So I've been wondering, not much has been established about Morn canonically speaking. There is nothing saying his race isn't long-lived, and therefore he could still be alive in the 32nd century. And since we see a Lurian in the season 3 trailer, and Disco likes to provide various links to the other Trek series, this could be a perfect link to DS9. Have a scene where Michael and Cleveland Book are fighting against the band of bad guys. While they're fighting, the Cardassian or one of the Andorians identifies the Lurian as Morn. You know what would make this scene even better? Have someone talk about how Morn never shuts up about how much he misses Quark. The potential is awe-inspiringly awesome.

Normally I'd be against such Small Universe Syndrome, but in this case it might not be a bad idea. After all, "Who Mourns for Morn?" established that Lurians normally have thick manes of hair and that Morn is bald from latinum poisoning. So depicting other Lurians as bald would be a continuity error. (Unless shaving their heads is a cultural thing for future Lurians, like for wartime Klingons in season 1.)

I'm 99% sure they're gonna have a new incarnation of Dax in season 3, which is a fantastic and brilliant idea. Having Dax AND Morn would definitely be overkill.

Which means it's almost certain they'll do it.

Oh damn, I just can't help but keep imagining Morn as the evil overlord of the galaxy singlehandedly responsible for the fall of the Federation. He will kidnap Michael, sit her at a table in his evil lair, 'no, Mr. Bond, I expect you to dine' style, and spend the rest of the season gloating about how he did it. He'll still be going by the time Discovery finds them.

For extra Bond fun, he just sets up his headquarters right in one of Quark's holosuites playing the Julian Bashir, Secret Agent program so that he could use Dr. Noah's lair for himself.

Considering Morn wasn't really a character in DS9 - more of a running joke - I really don't know what would be gained by Morn being the Lurian in question, rather than it just being some other rando. I mean, it would totally not be keeping with the joke if he spoke onscreen, and unless he spoke onscreen, we wouldn't really know much of his backstory from DS9 and onward.

If they were going to go this route though, I'd rather we discover Morn was stuck in a transporter buffer somewhere for 800 years, rather than having gone through things "the long way."

He was a running joke, although at least one time he played a crucial role in the plot of a major episode.

I doubt it's Morn, but if it is, I am sure it's just for some gentle fan service. He's a quirky, outside the box character that can be inserted into any story without seriously upsetting the overall direction of a story. People complain that Discovery has no sense of fun? I don't entirely agree, but a little Morn would definitely raise a few chuckles.

Oh my god, I just had the most terrible and genius idea. What if this iteration of Morn has just enough Trill DNA in his genome to be able to host Dax? Imagine the possibilities.
