Won't have to worry about Reno after Ep14
I predict she will be killed off, in the act of saving the day

There's gotta be some culling there. Currently, the ship's engineering genius completent includes supposed regulars Stamets and Tilly, part-time genius Burnham, spore engineer Nilsson who may one day earn an actual technobabble line or two, and in the guest star department now not just Reno but also Her Royal Sweetness Po. Six characters exchanging ideas about self-sealing subspace manifolds is a writing challenge I don't want to see the writers tackle. Like, ever again, after seeing them not totally fumble a quintet scene last week. There's only so much karma to burn this side of the spore realm.

Most likely by doing something to get the Torpedo out of the primary hull of the Enterprise.
Since that is what she saw in her flash-forward from touching the Time Crystal.

It would of course also suffice that she goes to help the Enterprise and survives, but misses her grand opportunity to follow Burnham and the rest to the far future. Just like Spock no doubt will.

Doesn't mean Reno couldn't appear aboard the Discovery in random S3 episodes anyway, by unexplained means, and then disappear again. I mean, it's certain that Sarek and Admiral Cornwell will!

Burnham also saw that. I'm not sure how Reno would get over to the Enterprise. If she goes, it'll be something else I reckon.

Roddenberry even suggested (in his lovely TMP novelization) that people who join Starfleet are of a different type than most of human society; somewhat more hardy, but not quite as philosophically/intellectually advanced or progressive, so didn't quite fit in on Earth. Or something like that. It kind of makes sense that they would tend to stick together.

The same novel with the love instructors...mmmm:rofl:

It makes sense too. There are military dynasties that have been seen before, and even now. People tend to marry into other military families or now, to other members of the service. With star-fleet spread out so far, seems even more like it would just be hard to meet anyone else.

No wonder the Parises never seem to have gotten out of the starfleet business.

Same for the Stiles, although one of them was a nasty piece of work
This dialogue was one of the reasons for my suspicion
Because out of billions of humans, only one uses such phrases...
You would think that Vulcan DNA would have given the Optimum people a huge boner, what with them being radiation proof and extremely long lived.

"Sigh"
Prejudice is illogical, someone should tell the Vulcans
