Is it weird to like The Fight? lol..

Ah finally some one who likes 'The Fight'! Personally I loved it.

Then again i'm bias cause I love me some Chakotay. I thought that 'The Fight' was a great episode to see his character get some attention and learn a bit about his history.

Not to mention the wonderful J/C moments in that episode.

I'd gladly watch it any day.

:bolian: What Kass said! :bolian:
Oh, I am sooo removing you from my friends list.:p

J/k;)

The Fight is probably my most guiltiest of pleasures when it comes to Voyager. It reminded me of TNG's Masks, which I also liked.

Get some perspective Exodus.

Blob doesn't have a hate obsession with Harry Kim.

I have a hate obsession with Harry Kim.

I think "Threshold" gets unfairly slammed because this was far, far worse.

There were lots of episodes far worse than Threshold. But Threshold was one of the most glaringly stupid CANNON VIOLATIONS, and so it gets a lot of negative attention, deservingly.

And here I automatically assumed that meant Janeway/Kashyck!

Or does the lower case k stand for young Harry?

Meh, Trek violates it's own canon in every series.
I reminds me of "Altered States" and makes for a good Halloween episode of Trek IMO.

I still don't know what a Rentrillic trajectory is. Of course the '18th dimensional gradient' seems rather high-up you know that's 18 dimensions. The ship entered through a 'tri-metric fracture' and he's good with that one.

Exactly, but Threshold has such a big WTF content in regards to the basic nature of warp travel, that it's hard to ignore.

This is one of those episodes I have a hard time understanding why it's frothing at the mouth rage-inducing. I can understand the hate for the conclusion, the most ultimate and egregious use of technobabble, but the rest of the episode seemed no worse than any subpar episodes.

Of course, I find "Threshold" not bad (except for the use of sci-fi "evolution" instead of transformation. If they juse called it a transformation, it would just be a more LOL version of "Identity Crisis") and I hate "Inside Man" and "Life Line" the most. I feel those are far worse than "The Fight". At least Fight & Threshold try to be Voyager episodes. Those are like some TNG fan (and A-Team fan) hacked the script and inserted Barclay and hackneyed writing. For Voyager, it wasn't Fonzie that was the one jumping the shark, it was Barclay. Or maybe Barclay was the shark itself...

I don't think "The Fight" is *rage* inducing but it definitely brings up emotions because we all had the same experience of watching it and being completely bored out of our skulls. And it was worse than other subpar episodes because...because it was so freaking awful!
It was like "Force of Nature" x 10 with the awful technobabble.

I don't have any problem ignoring it.

The best part of the ep. was figuring how the ship was to be exterminated very soon, imploding or something like that and everyone is killed. The rest of it is Chakotay and his fight. I'd say Voyager was stronger then the chaotic space it flew into but they had to figure something different about the ship.

I really didn't hate the episode, and I kind of appreciated what they tried to do. It just didn't come together right, and I can understand why people say it's boring.

it's kind of like TOS' "the alternative factor" in that attempted high-concept sci-fi becomes boring and near-unwatchable.
